"JCo + Edwards + Furrey sounds good"

I wouldnt be so sure, if you have Hines Ward, I would play him against SD. Otherwise, I agree.

My question is, I have Chambers, Burress, Fitzgerald, R.Wayne, Cotchery, and T. Williamson for my WRs. I gotta pick 3 WR and 1 W/T.

I need to pick one W/R out of J.Jones, C.Taylor, and T.Bell

^^ Stick with Ward, Furrey has to show more before he is worthy of benching a proven player like Ward for.

^Start Parker.

If Pittsburgh learned anything in the game vs. Jax, it was that regardless of how good the defense is that you are facing, you have to stay with the run. They didnt that game and got pummeled.

If Foster plays well, Deangelo is only about 6-8 points, best case scenario.

Start Willie. He will get a TD and 80 yards.

if Pitt is staying with the run, how are you recommending Ward?

i rely hugely on the weakness of the opponent, so i would start folks against Cleveland

but Deangelo is a backup.

Despite Cleveland's ineptitude on Defense, I can't justify starting a backup vs. a weak defense instead of a STUD rb vs. a good defense.

If the Browns are so bad, Foster will have a field day and limit Williams' opprotunites.

^thats what I was thinking with foster.....as least that is why im gonna start him (Along with Westbrook and S. Jackson)

So if you recommend Ward, who does he replace?

JCo or B. Edwards

^correct

Even if Gamble has been playing like shit lately, the Browns have a non-existant running game, so double teams, cover 2, and shifts in coverage by the Panthers will likely (and hopefully, GO PANTHERS!) negate the explosiveness of Edwards.

Start Ward and J-Co at WR's.

Here we go, young Jedi.

Chambers - No

Reason 1) They are facing a sound defense in NE that isnt that good, but thier D-line has been playing well and NE has been dominating divisional games so far.

Reason 2) Daunte Culpepper

Reason 3) Even with the trouble that Daunte has had, its mainly been becasue Miami is tied for the worst O-line in the game, and the fins are leading the league in Sacks taken. Its possible Chambers may score in Garbage time, but you can't confidently start someone based on what they may do after the game is out of hand.

Burress - Yes

Reason 1 - I imagine the Giants will come out firing on all cylinders and play a ridiculous game from start to finish. He is healthy and will be playing against a small Redskins secondary.

Reason 2 - Because thier defense has been playing so bad lately, it could be a shootout.

Fitzgerald - Yes* (be careful though, he has a sprained ankle and hasnt practiced all week.)

Reason - The Chiefs have a small, but talented secondary, and Lienart will be making his first start. When he played in the preseason games, he was throwing to Fitz every other play. It is a shaky start though considering his injury, new QB, and playing what is statistically one of the best defenses in the League. In the end, he is just too good to sit, regardless of the matchup.

Wayne - HELL YES

Reason - They are playing the Titans at home. Not only do the Titans have the worst pass defense in the league, but they are starting Vince Young, which means manning will have plenty of opprotunities to find his most athletic reciever. Honestly, I am starting him and I would be shocked if he didnt have 100 yards and at least 1 TD.

J-Cotchery - No* (If Fitz can't go, he is your backup), but if you can start 4 WR, he is your man.

Reason - they will have to pass to win. He is a great play this week, but considering your other choices, he is the odd man out.

Williamson - No

Reason - He is a good home run threat, but while he is targeted quite often, he still isnt as consistent as we would like him to be. He will also be matched up against Dre Bly, who isnt great, but has the speed to keep up with Troy on the bombs.

RB/WR

Taylor - No

Reason - Losing carries to Mewelde Moore, and isnt showing much lately. Also playing a pretty good Run Defense in Detroit.

T. Bell - No

Reason - Not only is he plagued by fumbleitis, but he will be plagued by the Ravens run defense this week as well.

J. Jones - Yes

Reason - Philly Run Defense isnt that good in reality, and this game will be a shootout. He has a great chance to score this week. 90 Yards rushing. 20 receiving. 1 TD.

I hope this helps.

- The Guru.

Sit/start? 3 WR, one w/r, one TE

TO
Toomer
Gabriel
Cotchery
Welker
Colston
LJ Smith

What do you think about sitting LJ Smith, putting colston in as TE? If not, the last spot would be either cotchery or toomer.

The Chargers are better against the run than the Bears. They were better last year and the year before that as well.

SD's run defense hasn't really been tested so far this season...

I expect them to do well, but I still think Parker will be able to rack up some yards.

SD's run D was the best in the league last year despite being very young, so it's plenty tested.

Teams just don't run on that defense.

San Diego has played so far this season:

Oakland
Tennesse
bye
Baltimore

They havent been tested at all.

Trust me, Willie Parker will have a good game v. the Chargers.

It doesn't matter who they've played, SD HAS THE BEST RUN D IN THE NFL. IT'S BEEN THAT WAY FOR YEARS.

Willie Parker will get less than 60 yards against that San Diego defense. Bank on it.

Hey Knuckleheads...

what do the masses think here?

Is DeAngelo Williams worth picking up of off waivers (someone just dropped him and I have a high waiver priority) if I have Delhomme as my starting Running back.

I also have Westbrook, Rudi Johnson, and Maroney.

I am hesitant about having a RB and QB starting, but I need to beef up my RB's in the event that Westbrook ends up missing substantial time.

thoughts?

There is no need to Larry to push his luck with a bum ankle, so we're not surprised he is taking it easy this week. Fantasy owners shouldn't worry about Fitzgerald's availability for Sunday unless he is downgraded or misses practice again on Friday."

I need 2 RB's

Julius Jones against Philly, Thomas Jones against Buffalo, Edge against Kansas City, and Ronnie Brown against NE.

I have been starting Edge and Brown but Culpepper might not play so they will probably stack the box more than they were when he was playing.. and the Cardinals offensive line is terrible and Leinart is starting his first game

Also in a different league, Chester Taylor against the Lions or Maroney against the Dolphins

E. Manning vs. WSH
or
B. Johnson vs. DET

Obvious choice is Manning, but I've been reading more and more this week saying Johnson should have a big week against a week DET secondary.

I'd probably stick with Keenan. SD is conservative but there's going to be times this year when Philip HAS to make some big throws and Keenan will be a top target.

"Oct 6 ESPN.com reports Dallas Cowboys WR Terrell Owens and a college classmate, Courtney Parker, have co-written a children's book titled "Little T Learns to Share." Dallas-based BenBella Books is scheduled to release the book in November, according to the Friday, Oct. 6 edition of the Dallas Morning News. In the book, the title character refuses to share his football until he realizes it's difficult to play by himself.
