PS darn siamese dream for being such an amazing album. there are so many good songs on there, and of course they dont want to play half the show from one album so the standard (yet still great songs) like today, cherub rock, disarm etc get the nod usually, but i would LOVE to see quiet or geek usa

I had fun last night but the setlist was very odd. no Cherub Rock, Disarm, or 1979. or silverfuck, it looks like they've played that a lot. But Billy's amp blew out during United States and that took a while to fix and gave them problems for a while, that probably made them cut out some songs.

^that sucks

they played pretty much everything we wanted to hear saturday night that they didnt play friday night

and even with 30 minutes worth of PA problems on saturday night it was still the better show

they did play zero and bullet back to back with Today real close before them, so that was a nice and uber-energetic 20 minutes or so.

me and scottieb24 were there last night too, we drove back after waiting around back to meet them, but after the amp blew and Billy was obviously not too happy, he just said thanks and goodnight and jumped in a car.

The show was good and long, I'm glad I got to see the pumpkins in a small venue, but the set list wasn't as good as what I've read it has been. Lots of new stuff, and way too much acoustic at the begining. Plus, with the amp blowing up and then giving more trouble later on, it was pretty much a buzz kill. Scottieb24 has some good pics and videos that I'm sure he will post soon. Happy 4th, I hope the show is an awesome send off on the 5th.

pretty much.

probably the weakest set list based on all the other ones ive seen to compare it too..however i still ended up getting to see the pumpkins so i cant complain! there were equipment problems throughout the show sometimes having to stop for 5+ minutes at a time kinda killed the crowd for the night. it was basically one straight set because of the equipment problems with only one encore.

Only 2 songs off siamese dream (hummer, and today) was very disappointing but you know what? oh well, i saw the smashing pumpkins

looking back, i remember thinking to myself during 'hummer' that I couldnt decide whether this show was making me want to quit my job and make music for the rest of my life (even tho i cant haha) or quit making music...it was a mix of being so inpsired musically while at the same time realizing i'll never write music that is as moving as the smashing pumpkins have.

PS a guy uploaded the setlist and from what i recall its pretty accurate..he left off hummer and i put it in around where i thought they played it.

Was that a different version of Heavy Metal Machine or is that how they play it live? Basically all I recognized from the Machina version was the "Heavy Metal Machine" chant from the chorus. Whatever it was it was pretty rocking.

btw, the fan it that place is freaking huge. I have never seen one that big, it was like a helicopter

they come out of the back of the Orange Peel, security tells everyone to wait on the other side of the street and maybe they will come over, maybe not, but they will not sign anything. they didn't come over on the 3rd, maybe they will tonight, so if you're going tonight and want to try to meet them, just wait around back where the crowd is.

son of a bitch... i would love having copies of the 26 and 27th shows, especially the 27th show, but I've never messed with torrents that much.

Usually just use my skillz to find zipped/rar files and such. I may have to finally give it a try.

how much do y'all actually pay for the CDs? I always assumed it was around $5 to $7 an album when bought in bulk?

Also unreleated to this thread, but do you know if y'all have Sufjan Stevens Illinois on vinyl or a copy of the newly re-printed The Zombies Odessey and Oracle on vinyl?

we pay 12.70 for the new smashing pumpkins. buying in bulk doesn't do shit.

we also have the special edition of zeitgeist, which comes with a 76-page full color book type thing for 27.99 available now.

yeah, but they have neither a full catalog nor new releases (for example, this month they are featuring Lilly Allen's "Alright, Still", which came out in the US in January)
