joe_schmoe...not only can you not recognize body modification from the birth defect, but you got it wrong on the previous page. the human body is "defaulted" toward female. so, in essence, as we develop as a fetus, we first develop as a female. then, in the case of males, some of the female organs serve as predecessors to our male organs. the penis does not "open back up." it starts opened up in the form of the vagina, then as we develop, it closes up to form the normal penis. in the case of hypospadias, something goes wrong in the development which prevents the urethra from being completely covered all the way to the glans.

actually we arent really defaulted to be females but when things arent clear cut....usually you become a female or more female because of the factors that contribute to either sex.

When you say we develop as females first, your actually completely wrong.

there are seperate organs that at certain times and with certain hormones, you then produce male or female organs. Humans dont start to become female then become male.
only the testes and ovaries actually develop from the same organ.

the only truth to your statement is that in a defect of a developing male.....its more likely he would become a female because of the specific defect in his genetic material or development.
