Roy has not been playing Hairston because he sucks at defense. Against Duke, it was easy for him to start Hairston because Amile/Josh Hairston are non-factors on offense so it meant PJ wasn't as much of a liability.

Honestly I think Bullock is their best overall player, but Hairston is pretty damn solid as a scorer. UNC's biggest issue all season is that they do not have enough players that can contribute on both ends of the court. Nearly all their players are either good offensively, bad defensively or vice versa. Roy's been stubborn about letting guys like Hubert play because he values their defense over their complete lack of offensive ability. Clearly he should have experimented sooner with a lineup of his 5 best players period which means Strickland, Bullock, McAdoo, Hairston, and Paige/Mcdonald/Brice Johnson. No reason he should have continued to give good minutes to James, Simmons, Hubert, and Tokoto.

He's not going to come back to be part of one of the most loaded draft classes in recent history.

He also hasn't dropped out of the first round. He'll be a 15-20 pick.

Crossing my fingers that Bullock goes pro to pay for his baby and that Hairston realizes he's the best prospect of the three and could be in the lottery if he does well at camps and workouts.

I watched a lot of UNC and a lot of UCLA this season, and I've gotta say -- I'd take PJ Hairston all day over Shabazz Muhammad. I might take Hairston over Beal last year. The guy is a deadly shooter with ridiculous range. Plays hard too. Plus he looks like a cave man.

Yeah Hairston is the type of guy that could go for 30+ on most nights if Roy works the offense around him. I hope he jumps. If he and Bullock come back (regardless of what McAdoo does), UNC will have a pretty damn solid team next year. They'll be thin for offense in the paint, but they have big bodies that can rebound and play defense while Paige, Bullock, and Hairston jack 3s all over the place.
