The rumor I heard is the big donors wanted Keatts, but yeah I'm guessing that wasn't the only factor.

I think you're mistaking "input" for "final say".

If Murphy and other big donors came up and shit on Keatts and didn't want him, I think it would be tough for Yow to hire him. I also don't think they could come up and say they wanted Moton and Yow would just do it because they said to either.

I think they had a voice in the hiring and I think in this case it worked out because there were a lot of reports that Murphy was bullish on Keatts from the start.

At Coach K's press conference, Debbie Yow thanked the members of the search committee and named them all. The last name she mentioned was Wendell Murphy.

Now, I know you know Wendell personally, seeing as your family has provided his daily butt cleaning for decades, but I am going to take our AD's word on this.

Yeah this isn't hard. Coach K is the one who worked on a hall of famers staff and has coaching experience at a military school. Also the one that has coaching experience on a national title winning team.
