I get most of my meetings, admin-type stuff (responding to emails, figuring out our e-newsletters, whatever) done from like 10:30-noon. And usually I get the bulk of my personal stuff done between lunch and 4ish. Except Fridays, when I rarely get much done after 3 because my brain enters weekend mode. I honestly believe most companies could end business at 1 on Fridays and not lose much productivity.
