I have a candle that I ordered from one of those Passion Party things. It is awesome. It melts into a kind of massage oil. You light the candle, blow it out, pour it on, and rub it in. It's also a soy candle so it doesn't smoke at all.

khcadwal some hormone imbalances can be fixed with a proper diet. that book i told you about a while ago talked a lot about how what we eat can throw certain hormones in our systems off kilter and cause a lot of whackiness to ensue. she mentioned that eating too much sugar is usually the culprit.

Sorry if this has already been posted on this thread...I read it regularly but might have missed it.

Does anyone here use Pinterest? http://pinterest.com/

I have read about it multiple places and honestly am trying to figure out what the big draw is? I do like having a place to bookmark my favorite looks for decorating but other than that, isn't it just a big virtual bulletin board? (maybe its bc I am SO not creative haha)

yeah, the unlimited groupon looks tempting. i'm just not certain they would really schedule enough sessions to make it worth it. plus you'd need 2 of them to do the whole leg.

^^^ i like pinterest for ideas. right now i'm obsessed with their food section because they have some good/interesting recipes on there.

i've also started to hear rumblings that we might be switching from a casual office environment to more of a business appropriate (no more jeans? waaahhhh ) so i've been pinning some "office appropriate" attire that i think would look good / items for me to keep an eye out for. i haven't had to wear anything other than jeans (except for when i met with clients a handful of times a year) for the last 4 years - plus i work from home 2 days a week soooo yeah haha.

Hmmmm. Bumble and Bumble is the new 500+ point freebie from Sephora. The past couple of perks have been no bueno...thinking of hopping on this one. Never used these specific B&B's though

I love Bumble and Bumble products and pretty much exclusively use their things. I buy the travel sizes (well I get them for presents at almost every holiday haha) and they last for a really long time. I have noticed a difference since using the "shine" shampoo and my hair really does seemed to have brightened up.

I also love Bumble/Bumble.

But since Raine34 doesn't post that often, I'm suspicious that she's some sort of corporate bot.

what's your preferred brand of mascara?

I've never used a high-end kind like Smashbox, etc. Always used the tried and true Maybelline in the pink and green tube. Just got some of the Colossal lash from them, i like it.

I use Tarte's natural mascara (from Sephora). I have used a few different things, and did like the Smashbox mascara in deep purple that came in the kit for green eyes. But I have really sensitive eyes, and they start to itch if I wear mascara unless it's natural. The Tarte stuff is great. I've also learned that you have to rotate your mascara every three months, regardless of if it's all used up.

When I'm *really* trying to do it up and make an impression, I'll add the Smashbox Mascara Primer. It's not completely natural, so it does make my eyes slightly itch, but really not that much. Again, that's just because of my weird eyelids.

The only somewhat expensive kind of make-up that I buy is mascara. I have long eyelashes that are thinner and lighter at the tips so I don't want to ruin them. The only kind that I really like is Laroc Visual effects color black. I buy it at Ulta for like $20.

omg i am a mascara connoisseur.
it's my staple makeup....a lot of times it's the only thing i wear out.
therefore i don't eff around with it.

It started with my first tube of Diorshow (which is a great one btw) years and years ago and has bloomed into an almost unhealthy obsession with finding the perfect one.

anyway
Diors Blackout- my number one pick overall (SO FAR!!! this could change ) it's pretty thick so it clumps sorta easy but once you get the hang of it...oh my god. (another thing...it needs to be stored ever so properly or the clumping intensifies >.< )
very heavy but awesome

Diors iconic is also really good for just elongating but not thickening the lashes.
I've heard Lancome Definicils High Definition is really good for this too but I haven't given it a shot yet.
this is perfect for day.

Also Mac's Zoomlash is a good thickner and elongator...it's not as dramatic as black out but it has it's place. another good day one, but for a heavier eye look.

Benefit's Bad Girl Lash is another good one for a very subtle look but still make your eyes pop, but i had a problem with it drying up really really quickly :/

I've heard rave reviews about Lancome Oscillation Intensity too (for both thickness and elongating but not heavy) ....but for some reason i have no desire to try it just yet.

When i get a little more moolah I'm gonna get Givenchy Phenomen’ Eyes and maybe Chanel Inimitable...(shit shit shit i made an order today i should have gotten one).

sad part about all of this.
this is only a taste of what i could tell you

I have always notcied consistency and fabulousness with Bumble and Bumble. But I don't get it often because it is super expensive.

Mascara: I usually go with drugstore variety but if I'm trying to be fancy I go for the Clinique brands. Never clumpy.

I've gotten a tube of Maybelline Volum'Express "The Falsies" lately. it's pretty good for a cheapie, but it tends to crumble away a bit. however, the brush is shaped perfectly for my eyes and it gives me a lot from my corner lashes which are too curled to coat evenly with most mascaras. i need a lash straightener, haha

anyone on here ever heard of airbnb.com? you basically list your house or a room in your house for a night, week month etc and people book it. the website handles all the payments and people leave reviews. its like upgraded couchsurfing i think
