bah, finally get back to vegas for the first time in 4 years and totally screw the pooch. entered a $50 tourney at the riviera and got 4th (out of the money) after my AQ was cracked by QJ, and then in a 1/2 cash game at mgm, the hand went like this:

i get QQ in the BB and the button raises to $10. we're the only two players, so i just call. flop is xxJ with two spades. i check, guy bets $20 and i come over the top all in for another $80. normally i'd reraise preflop, but the guy had been raising with trash so i wanted to make some money. the guy finally calls and turns over KJ, and of course a K comes on the turn. i really can't think of a better way to play that hand, because he would've just called a reraise.

i just got nutsacked in the face. my buddy spotted me 50 which i quickly ran up to $2,000 and then proceeded to play a HU match for $500 which i lost on a 70/30 river bounce. From there I spewed most of the remaining $1500, threw a chiar into a wall, and tried to drown myself in the bathtub.

I haven't done any illegal drugs this week if you count Saturday as the first day of the week.

Fuck man.

^A hot 'sit and go' streak is definitely one way to do it.

We did it with a 33 to a 55, to a 75, to multiple 55s, and a couple of drunken 160s. I pissed away my half and about a week later my buddy did it again with a $20 bonus. Tried donking it away .50/1 getting ~ $36 and just climbing the SNG latter.

wtb those skillz

^me? I rollercoastered a 30 dollar deposit and we came home drunk one night and split a 33+3. I figured my chances in cashing were fairly good, even considering variance. If not, I was only stuck 18 bucks. *shrug*

no way I'm ever folding there regardless of how much he was pushing anyways

I can't complain though...I've managed to turn $50 into $540 over the last few weeks on the $.10/$.25 tables and a couple SNG's

I've got a funny story though, I swear on my life this is a true story...

one of my friends went broke and I shipped him $10 on Full Tilt on January 15 this year. He has not deposited a single dollar since then, and is now up almost $30,000. This dude has turned into a beast. His name is 'AsianRiceCooker'

and yes, he shipped me back my $10.

I don't know...vs a passive guy I would lay that down. But really I think you should of raised that PF. It makes the call WAY easier. Plus alot of equity in that hand.

I like the call. You have to assume the guy would raise with a hand like AQ or KQ. There are so many draws out there and with a huge all in like that there's a pretty big chance he has a draw.

everyone says its not true and all that, but i swear i can predict what card is coming on 75% of the hands on pstars. i pretty much expect 3 outers to hit with regularity

It really depends on the read, as played though, your right it probably is a call. In position raise 10Q and this doesn't look so messy. Calling 11810 into 4000 (1.34:1, 43% equity required) is alot better then calling 12560 into 1555 (1.12:1, 47% equity required).

yeah I think he did actually. he loves the $24+2 KO's now, $576 for 1st place. i think he won 2 of those in one night at the beginning of his run which gave him about $1000 to work with.

id be interested in being staked in some tourneys and the like. i'm play mostly cash games but a proven sng and tourney winner when i play that. My stars name is ablee. I have a few wins in the several top 3's in the 4.40 180 mans but don't have the bankroll but would love the opportunity to play a little higher as i'm not properly rolled for anything higher.

Umm they load at peak every 5 mins or so. I've played 25-30 at once. Solid winners in them can have ROIs in the ballpark of 130%. The shitty regs still manage to win at a fairly good clip.

Oh yeh they ... they take ~3.5hrs to win.

Just to paint the picture - if for example you play 400 a week at 100% ROI (which I could coach someone to in a week or so i'd imagine) you would profit like $1600 bucks. Even at 200 a week, a little less hardcore you could prolly make some reasonable cash (although after a few weeks if you didn't move up your head might explode).

Umm...if we assume that they load every ~7mins on average.....

10 in the morning til midnight - (14hrs * 60mins) / 7mins = 120

So if ya ran at like a measly 75% ROI u'd make like 360 bucks..
