ann taylor loft has a few nice black dresses that range from about $69 to $129
i just went "black dress" shopping and they were the cheapest i could find and actually just as pretty as the other dresses that were $150-$200
i tried this one on and liked it a lot:
its $69

Does anyone here use henna to dye their hair?
I'm wanting to put reddish highlights in my (brunette) hair but not bleach or use something from a box because it always fades too quickly.
highlights like this:

I've used henna before, but used it with indigo for a darker color. I ended up switching back to box dyes because henna is a real mess to use. 12/3/2006 8:03:15 PM |

Anyone wax their upperlip hair? I used to use Nair, but regular formula now gives me a rash on my face and the facial hair formula isn't strong enough to take off the hair. I really don't want to wax, because I did a home wax kit several years ago and it was such a mess. I'm hoping the newer ones are easier to use. 12/3/2006 8:58:39 PM |

i use Sally Hansen's wax sticks to do my upper lip...it's REAL easy to use and you don't really need any paper 12/3/2006 9:29:05 PM |

I would suggest not using henna...it can sometimes mess up your hair and you don't know how it'll react and get the color that you are looking for 12/3/2006 9:36:22 PM |

what do you ladies think of these dresses, they are affordable but I'm worried they might be a bit too short! I was looking for something just below the knee

dress one: i'm classy and sexy. let's have cocktails dress two: i'm modest, but i still have a shape dress three: i'm sexy, everybody should look at me b/c they can't help it.
what are you in the mood for? 12/3/2006 11:59:08 PM |

I'm looking for a good quality all-purpose dress that will last a long time. I posted the red one because it shows the satin and seaming better, I would only buy the black version of it.
The strapless one shows a lot of skin, but depending on the occasion I could make it more conservative with a shawl or jacket. My concern with the second dress is the fabric might not be stiff enough to hold in my midsection. Does anybody know what "modal" is? 12/4/2006 12:36:51 AM |

gosh now I know why brittney asked me what modal is haha
its a natural fiber..it's really soft

i have bad feet anyways, but i never wore those kinds of shoes when i was younger. growing up i wore sneakers 365 days a year pretty much. so now that i'm older and i want to wear those types of shoes, it just doesn't work for me...my feet always hurt 12/8/2006 11:30:20 AM |

bttt I am trying to find a cute cocktail dress to wear in New York in Jan.
I just realized that it's going to be freezing up there and I dont think it'll be a smart idea to wear a silk/lace type of dress.
Cheaper the better (I'm looking for around $50)
any suggestions?

I feel like I need a haircut because all I've really done since growing out my hair from super short is trim it up a little. Does anyone have suggestions for something that would look good on me? I've been thinking about long, sideswept bangs but everyone in my family who I mention it to is anti-bangs and says they all look horrible. 12/30/2006 11:50:42 AM |
