I'm not at all convinced that the Others are the people from the back half of the plane. I believe they are now in cahoots, but the Others have been there for a lot longer than flight 815.
When Ana Lucia said that she was out there, on her own, for the last 40 days, I called bullshit. No way that she is the only survivor of the back half of the plane. Either a lot of them survived or none of them did. And if her little story is true, then her chance of survival is less than a lot of other people's - she hit her head and was unconscious when she went underwater. We can easily assume that there were lots of people who weren't unconscious, and those guys would have an easier time surviving than she would.

so here's the deal with Lokken:

Lokken likes being right and telling people what's going on

then I came along and stole his thunder by telling people they're crazy and wrong

but i did it in a more extravagant way by "bitching at people and complaining about the show"

Lokken believes the show is pure genius and I think it's half genius and half crap, depending on the way you look at and how it affects people

i originally thought that the back half of the plane sort of ummm matriculated in with the others (not sure if thats the right word)

however i can def see them being mistaken for others, they could have gone a more primitive route without sane and reasonable leadership. they could be scared of the voices in the jungle and the monsters uprooting trees which would lead them to be very wary and mistrusting of anyone else they ran into. so im putting my cents in on teh "mistaken" theory.

the zoology station has a different symbol than the swan station. we saw that symbol on the shark last episode. it is my thought then that the zoology station is on the island. also the polar bear was on the island, so that adds up. i read that one of the other stations was parapsychology, which would make sense with them wanting to come get walt. of course they were a bit crazy, but they coulda gone crazy by this point. this would imply that the parapsychology station is also on the island. if 3 of the 5 or 6 are on the island, then i figure all of em are and the whole island is/was a research island.

I'd like to see what the entrance to the bunker looks like. Jack, Kate and Desmond seemed to all go in and out of it fairly easily. If all these research stations are located on the island, you'd think there'd be more signs of some sort of infrastructure. (roads, powerlines, etc.)

Also with the whole "research island gone wrong" theme...it's starting to sound a lot like Jurassic Park.

i think the others are from the Dharma Institute.......the two pictures a couple of pages back shows that both the male and female look strikingly similar in both pics.

Ana-Lucia was on the flight.....now we don't know if maybe she's a part of the Dharma Institute and she was trying to get back on the island to be back with the "others." but i have a feeling that either she's a part of the "others" all along and could have been the cause of the plane landing on the island or she was taken in by the "others" and over time became one herself.

personally, i think she's a part of the dharma institute. she knows the "others" language....she was mumbling something weird when she was getting the attention of the big other dude to let her out. obviously she has earned their trust. now, its possible that she assumed, "well we're the only surviving people from the flight, i guess i have to suck it up and play nice with the others" or she had alterior motives the entire time.
