It started as a shifter classified ad/request on the Viper Club forums, then talk of which color/models had the longest shifters (guys posted pics comparing their shifters with measuring tape - was actually pretty funny). Then, this guy comes along and makes this video. He also did a bit where he added paddle shifters to his corvette (they were actual rowing paddles attached to the steering wheel).
