I had been going nuts all day. After they took the lead I thought it was the Carolina Curse coming back against us. I was so happy when we scored, but then I looked at the time and was like crap we left them too much time. Right before the first 4th down I started to think hey we're gonna do this, and then they convert and I'm like crap the Curse is coming back. After that last play I just sat there waiting for a flag to come in from across the field or something. I couldn't believe it and just sat there for a minute to take it all in. We just beat Carolina and for once the classic game went our way. Visions of the 1986 game came running through my head. I then saw the time run off and Tom O'Brien start to jog out and I went nuts. I went running around the house and slammed a fold out chair on the ground and let out a roar. The Tom O'Brien era in this rivalry has just started, and how sweet it is.

^^had we not thrown to the wings with no coverage, and just run it (or at least thrown deep where we could stop them) thats an easy 14 points off their score and at least 6 added to ours. then that stupid throw from the fullback or whatever, that was gay hell. they got hardly any offense on us today except for the very last drive.

I was going for Butch but I predicted TOB by a field goal, off by one point

I don't think that was a catch and not winning the turnover battle pretty much cost us the game

until the last drive I thought the crowd noise was a little weak for an intense rivalry game, what's the deal this season?

So two things I have to comment on:

1) Butch Davis is a piece of shit. He ran straight to the locker room at the whistle and didn't meet TOB at the middle for a handshake. (Typical Carolina "class")

2) So, I was at the game and didn't hear any commentary on the non-intentional grounding call during UNC's last drive. What happened there? He was outside the pocket but didn't throw it to a receiver, nor did he get back to the line of scrimmage.

just got home from the game. wow. it was awesome.

it was amazing there at the end when we won. seemed like a second or two of silence when that pass was incomplete. almost as if every state fan was just waiting for a penatly or for it to be a touchdown, then the place just went apeshit.
