oh, also i found a way to keep some money after prestige. i entered a high stakes wager match and doubled down to spend some money and after the game started i messed with my router so i got kicked. i then prestiged and sure enough a short time later i was refunded all of my high stakes buy in because the game did not complete. i haven't been able to confirm if my kicking myself was enough for the refund or if it was coincidence and there was also not a good host and i got lucky.

I've been running Chopper, B52, Chopper Gunner this past week. Have done surprisingly well with it. Once you get to 7, then 8th and 9th kills are quick.

I would run dogs, because they're the most entertaining kill streak to me, especially if you get a final kill

but I'm just not generally good enough to get killstreaks of 11 (or even 10 with hardline)

if you get the chopper gunner just shoot at cars and you can get to dogs, any kills from an exploding car counts towards your killstreak

I run spy plane, counter spy plane and care package (with hardline pro)

Low streaks because 1. I suck and 2. I've been playing mostly Domination lately and as aggressively as I play I'm never going to get big killstreaks

Anyway I figure my chances of re-rolling a care package and pulling a chopper gunner are as likely as racking up a 9 or 10 or whatever killstreak

You think Counter Spy Plane is worth it? I certainly like the aspect of jamming an enemy spy plane...but I also think its usually pretty easy to use my 2ndary launcher that I normally carry to shoot down enemy spy planes...also since you can now no longer change SAM turrets, that might be a good killstreak as opposed to counter spy plane...when I've actually used SAM turrets in the past instead of changing them with hardline pro, they tend to shoot down spy planes immediately

CSP is awesome if you aren't playing with a bunch of dudes carrying Strellas

Even if you are, there's a good chance you'll find them before they get off a shot, and they'll never see you coming

Worst thing about the CSP is that it tends to make bad guys hole up in a building somewhere. So on a map like Hanoi, it's not so great.

I almost never see anyone using SAM turrets, but maybe that was because of the hardline pro exploit

yeah most likely...the only time I'd use SAM turrets was when I got ammo in a care package and changed it into a SAM turret

But I've also had matches where my SAM turret wasn't destroyed, and its probably shot down 4 spy planes and a couple enemy care package helicopters...lots of XP points

The counterspyplane is almost useless I think... you might aswell get the SAM turret.

CSP screws over anyone on your team using ghost/silenced weapons, and like ^^ said it makes the enemy team more alert/campy.

Edit: Wait, nvm, the CSP can counter the Blackbird right? That makes more sense then.

Why cant we assign killstreaks to different directions on the D-Pad?! We should be able to save up streaks and have them ready whenever we want rather than have to go through recent ones.

Spy plane is a pretty regularly recurring item for it to switch to. The odds are higher for that and ammo than anything else.


I have switched a car package from a Chopper Gunner to a spy plane twice now just because of the habit of immediately switching packages as soon as they land... so stupid

Jamming radar is not the same as not appearing on radar. For example, if the other team is tracking red dots (via spy plane or enemy unsilenced weapons) then the ghost person can flank very easily. If the counter-spy plane is airborne, then the other team will be checking all directions and not depending on the radar - taking away a major advantage of the ghost perk.

FWIW, 2 sam turrets placed will basically prevent enemy care packages from my experience. Each turret will hit the helicopter with a missile before it even makes it onto the playable map

So if you see a dude staring at your care package, you kill him, then you can't swap the package using hardline pro, that means he was booby trapping it

^ I just played a game that for the last two minutes was the laggiest I've seen. Scoreboard at the end showed everyone with one or two bars except for who I guess was the host. Haven't seen much lag at all so far, hopefully it was just random bad luck

just did the update on both ps3 and xbox. I couldn't play a SINGLE match on ps3, so tried out xbox. It took 15 minutes to get into a game, in which I had some of the worst lag I've seen to date. Tried to play in other lobbies for a while, but really this is the worse I've seen CoD. Absolutely awful
