Why would anyone pay $20,000 for a degree from this place?
Anyway, this isn't really related to football anymore. 8/19/2011 12:47:14 PM |

I know these are based on different ranking systems...but if the 36th best in NC is the 56th best in the country, then does that mean there are THAT MANY great QBs in NC?8/19/2011 2:45:01 PM |

nice of him to honor the request... but that sure is a strange request. kuhn's a guy that i love though, just from the stories of him flying to the states w/ his dad and showing up at head coaches' offices. that's how you get shit done; leave it to a german to show that kind of initiative.8/19/2011 5:25:02 PM |

Gearin' up for the 2011 Football Season!
I'm about to start the new series of http://wolfpackcartoons.com. Got another brand new style I'm trying out so we'll see how it rolls.
The best way to stay up to date is by "liking" my fan page at http://facebook.com/markmclawhorn.art
I've also got twitter at http://twitter.com/markmclawhorn but all that really does is just populate the facebook fan page posts.

33rd AP ranking (15 votes) 44th Coaches' poll ranking (4 votes)
Also of note: no votes for UNC in the AP poll. UNC was ahead of us with 14 votes in the coaches' poll. I'm surprised it wasn't the other way around. 8/20/2011 9:41:37 PM |

injuries are a part of sports. i don't think we've had any more injuries than the average team, with the exception of the year before last. but it definitely sucks to lose our defensive captain, and our best rb. but at least they'll be back (hopefully) after a few games. 8/21/2011 8:14:09 PM |

Injuries from Spring: Mustafa Greene Andew Wallace Logan Winkles

I'd agree with this. I think we'll definitely see A.J. Ferguson getting rotated in there as well. Carlos Gray could see some early action as well. Don't forget that Cato-Bishop weighs 280 lbs. They have him listed at DE, but they may consider throwing him in at DT too.8/22/2011 9:00:06 AM |

Someone needs to start the 2011 Tailgate thread.
But since it isn't up yet decided to post this here. We are trying to kick our tailgate up a notch this year and bring my flat screen(I think its a 36 inch) out to tailgate with the rabbit ears to just have something to watch.
Wanted to know 2 things for anyone that does that out at the games
1 - Will the cheap antenna be fine out on the fairgrounds or should I spent a bit more for on the powered ones? They range in cost from like $10-50.
2 - For powering the TV, anyone got recommendations? Can't afford one of those quiet generators, and I've see some of those power inverters...anyone use those? Any suggestions on the cheapest and easiest way to power a tv would be great, 3-4 hours of runtime would be fine. 8/23/2011 8:27:00 AM |

Last year we were freakishly healthy. Just a guess, but I would say we were top 10-15 in the country with the least amount of injuries.
Seems like we're just falling back in line this year. Every team suffers injuries. Before last year, we definitely had above average amount of injuries...but we're par for the course right now. 8/23/2011 8:35:07 AM |
spydyrwyr All American 3021 Posts user info edit post |
^^We've used one of the cheap HD antennas (~$15) very successfully at our tailgates. If you don't want to pony up for a generator, the easiest and cheapest option would be a power inverter for your car's cig lighter. The downside is you'll have to remember to crank your vehicle at regular intervals and let it run for a few minutes to maintain enough juice to start your car to go home. 8/23/2011 8:43:17 AM |

Not bad for a 5th String Walk-On QB. Wouldn't surprise me to see him eventually pass Taylor on Depth Chart.
