We are far more conservative than most developed countries. This shouldn't be news to anyone. Pretty much all of Europe and most of South America are far left of us.

Shit, Obama is probably slightly right of center and half the country calls him a socialist/communist (of course most of this is due to the fact they are too ignorant to know what one actually is).

BLS Fail: Jobless Claims Number Doesn't Include California
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/11/bls-fail-jobless-claims-number-doesnt-include-california

California at center of today's snafu on jobless numbers?*
By Mark Lacter | October 11, 2012 1:49 PM
Share on facebook Share on twitter Share on facebook_like

joblessclaims.jpgYou might have heard on the news this morning about a huge drop in jobless claims - 33,000 weekly filings, which is way larger than what anyone expected. That brought down total claims to 339,000, which is the lowest level in four-and-a-half years. Now as a rule these unemployment reports deserve only minimal attention because they're often volatile (way more so than the monthly reports, which are volatile enough). However, in this election season they've become somewhat of a mindless media event - certainly a political event. But soon after the report was released came news that the 33,000 number was flawed because one large state did not provide any numbers. As it turns out, according to Business Insider's Henry Blodget, citing a Labor Department source, all the states were included, but California did not submit all of its claims.

Sure if this was true I'd bet Ryan would have bought it up.

Also the grammar in that article is awful.

I think he should post the video in all the threads where he only posted the text.

That way he can better solidify the people who hate him and verify that nobody gives two shits he was a delegate.

that's as fucking stupid as the picture of obama with his hands down when others around him had their hands on their hearts for the national anthem, and you had conservatives using this as evidence of his muslim allegiance (as if that was a country unto itself).

Why? I know the idealistic libertarians on here argue otherwise but every ballot he is on helps Obama out. No matter what most of these people say a vote for Paul or Johnson is one less for Romney.

I imagine Dems would be happy about that.

How do we know it wasn't photoshopped?

I ask because pryderi posted it, and he's about as credible as Romney. maybe less so.

http://takingnote.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/10/15/on-the-deficit/

Quote :
"What he has is a plan to lower tax rates by 20 percent, eliminate the Alternative Minimum Tax, and repeal the estate tax. He claims he’ll make up for the lost revenue by closing loopholes, but hasn’t specified which ones, and every independent study has come to the conclusion that his proposal will increase the deficit—unless a President Romney ends up increasing taxes on the middle class.

He also has a plan to slash the budget, voucherize Medicare and turn Medicaid over to the states, where it will certainly wither. Anyone who thinks such austerity measures will shrink the deficit and grow the economy should take a look at Europe, which has been experimenting with austerity for the last few years. Portugal, for instance, saw its debt-to-GDP ratio rise after imposing steep budget cuts."

We allows fags to get married but make it illegal to have more than one wife?
Thats pretty fucked up.
If a dude can afford to support multiple wives and can put up with all their shit, more power to him.
I support that.

"Romney Told Bosses to Tell Their Employees Whom to Vote For"

Quote :
""I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections," said Romney in a recording obtained by In These Times. "Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I think that will figure into their election decision, their voting decision and of course doing that with your family and your kids as well."

Okay, Mitt. You're right. It's not technically illegal for employers to tell their employees how to vote. That doesn't mean that it's ethical or understandable or even acceptable to connect people's livelihoods with their political beliefs. There's a fine line between an employer telling an employee, "Vote Romney!" and a boss telling a subordinate, "Vote Romney, or else!" At least, in the eyes of the inevitably subordinate employees there's not.

This hierarchical method of political persuasion is turning into a bit of a trend for Republicans this year. Just a couple of days ago, we learned that the Koch Brothers sent their employees a list of people to vote for, or else they could "suffer the consequences." That was just a few days after the chief executive of a software company told his employees that he didn't "want to hear any complaints regarding the fallout that will most likely come" if they voted Obama back into office. And a few days before that the CEO of Westgate Resorts and the owner of the largest house in America similarly said that he would "have no choice but to reduce the size of this company" if Obama won. "Whose policies will endanger your job?" he asked his employees."

Also, you're a douche if you post that but get upset when people do the same thing to Muslims.

Q: Has the Obama administration started a program to use "taxpayer money" to give free cell phones to welfare recipients?

A: No. Low-income households have been eligible for discounted telephone service for more than a decade. But the program is funded by telecom companies, not by taxes, and the president has nothing to do with it.
