The sooner that you and that fan base latch onto the fact that you will never be that good again the easier it will be for everybody.

It's not his fault. The guy that replaces Coach K at Duke will never take the school to the same heights either. That's the nature of "once a generation" type sports figures. Just understand that you had a good run and be thankful for those years instead of acting like a spoiled brat when reality comes knocking.

We're only a third into the season. United are 12 points back but Arsenal has a very tough next three games, one of which is against United, and that gap could be closed very quickly.

Changing subjects, who does everybody want to be relegated? I want West Ham, Fulham, and Stoke.

OK Ribs. You have to be kidding if you don't think United fans shouldn't expect to finish in the top 4 every year. I don't want Moyes to win a god damn title in his first year but the least he can do is finish top 4 with a team that just walked to the title. Winning an odd title or two every 5 to 7 years is good enough. Obviously we don't expect to be as dominant as we were under Sir Alex. However, we also don't expect to suddenly become a mid table club. Ambition and belief has always driven this club, to try to lower expectations was always going to be met with criticism. As I said, Moyes has brought this upon himself.

You don't even know if he WILL finish in the top 4 because you are calling for his head NOT EVEN HALFWAY INTO HIS FIRST SEASON

There is no way this is true in your mind. You say things like this but then get your jimmies all russled when he doesn't lead the prem wire to wire in his first season. Stop talking out of both sides of your mouth.

If rival fans support your manager, you know something's wrong.

In all seriousness though, David Moyes needs time to settle in to the United job. It was Sir Alex and Sir Bobby's choice to go with him instead of a big name. If Mourinho/Ancelotti/<big name manager> was manager in this situation, then one can understand calling for their head. Even then, you've got to give the manager atleast one season and/or 3 to 4 transfer windows to see how they do.

Schalke signed Sam which means Draxler is surely off. Strong Arsenal rumors but not what they need to strengthen at the moment IMO. Would rather break bank for a Reus type (I feel silly even typing this).

Ozil was also "not what they needed." If they can get Draxler they should do it. He could be amazing.

I like how you make up arbitrary shit just to troll. I mentioned Moyes had a tough start, never complained. Two very different things. You have to play them eventually, I actually preferred getting them out of the way early.

Whats your point? It was also away from home.

Well I was pretty pissed yesterday after not winning against Cardiff or Everton. This is the third time this year where United have let in a late goal. If you read some of the things I said today, I mention that I believe Moyes is a good manager but he needs to finish 4th this year to get going. It will be unacceptable to keep Moyes without champions league football. Rooney and RVP will surely be gone and convincing any good player to come to United at that point would be difficult without an established top flight manager. I also mention that Moyes hasn't helped himself by not fixing a weakness in midfield. This form isn't just down to Moyes, its also down to a poor midfield and aging defense. Issues that should have been addressed before midnight on August 31st.

Last year United had close to 27 points gained from coming back. Same squad but those 27 points were all down to Sir Ales, his aura and his presence. The team is playing just as dire as some moments last year, but this year without Sir Alex the faults are showing. United need to win the next 5 and stay close to 4th by january. Moyes at the minimum has to get the 4th spot.

Is there any other way you would put it? Its quite clear a figure like Sir Alex makes a big difference. If you were a United fan you would understand the belief we had in the squad and more importantly, the squad under Sir Alex. It isn't something that happened overnight, it took a decade to build. That aura was undeniable in some of the toughest situations. There is a reason teams came to Old Trafford and feared the last 10 minutes, especially if they were winning.

I still have the belief. These what the hell, we suck games happen over the course of the season every year to the big clubs. This year Arsenal lost to villa at home, Chelsea drew with wba at home, and City lost at Sunderland. Unfortunatly for United most of theirs have all happened during the first 1/3 of the season, they have had more than the other top clubs, and most have been at home.

How could Arsenal not get at least a point at United...

I feel it's reaching mental status between Arsenal and RVP. Gunners have to be United at the Emirates.

Not even angry. I have just come to accept it. I will tune in and watch like every match but I won't expect anything. Basically I will watch for the sake of watching. Youtube is going to be my new best friend. Thank you Van Persie for the glorious year, I hope he wins a champions league before retirement. We are going to have to sell him for peanuts too.

I think it helps I support NC State and England as well. Its not hard to accept being bad once you have finally realized it....

^ What? Do you see what is happening out there? This same squad could have broken Chelsea's record of 95 points had it not let off the gas pedal at the end. Of course Sir Alex was the biggest reason for United's success. Without him the results are clear to see. I am just glad he was that good. At least I enjoyed those years. United had their time. After Wenger retires, Arsenal will most likely be in the same boat. They can avoid being so dire though if they bring in an established manager.

Guy in the red in the bottom right. "Wait a minute, is that my ex girlfirend?"
Guy in the green bottom left. "I have no idea what I am doing here, I thought this was a concert."
Guy in the white in the center. "Derp, time to go home early."
Asian guy on the right. "Moyes if you play Shinji this no happen. I come from Japan to see him."

In all seriousness that banner in the background makes this oh so ominous.
