So he shot him once at the car and hit him in the hand. Brown ran away and Wilson gave chase. At ~180 ft away from the patrol car it sounds like Brown must have been pissed and turned around to confront/assault Wilson again. Wilson hit him with some shots but Brown came back another 25 feet where he was hit with more shots, one of them causing him to fall forward to take a shot in the top of the head.

This kid did not have to fucking die. Not once did he show a weapon. You've already shot at a guy. And now you are going to take your peace maker and basically make it so the guy submits to you or you kill him with nothing in between. No pursue the guy at a distance, try to run from the guy until your backup arrives. So fucked up.

^Because after each shot Brown was STILL approaching him rather than getting down on the ground. The cop does not know whether he has a weapon or not still at this point. Let's say he stops shooting, Brown closes the distance, bear hugs him and then pulls a knife out of his pocket and stabs him. The kid should have done exactly what he was told to do to begin with. It is beyond ridiculous to me that there is even a debate after hearing that at the very beginning of this he attacked the cop in his own car.
