Coach K made some pretty good adjustments in the second half. He basically adopted our own plan against Carey of spreading the floor and feeding directly to the post. They did profit from this, but we had a once-in-a-bluemoon game and just couldn't miss anything.

Credit KK for his hustle defense and very risky offensive scheme of going into the paint on nearly every possession. A lot of coaches, when faced with an old school big like Duke's, would have tried to drawn him out on a switch and then go for an open three or the backdoor.

Its because we only get up for Duke and UNC. We lose to UNC because our style of play suits them well. Our fans just don't care that much about other games so it rubs off. Its not just because they are good. We played 11th ranked Louisville and the crowd was awful. People on this board living in Raleigh don't even go to games.

I gave 11th ranked Louisville as a specific example and Tree equates that with VT and BC. We should be able to get up just as much for a highly ranked Louisville as we can for a shitty UNC team. Its not a chicken egg thing either. Fans can decide to make any game have a great environment and do it on a consistent basis. Players cannot decide to be consistently hot. The good fanbases bring it for tough games against lesser quality opponents as well.

Alabama Troy sells out and fans are in their seats making noise at kickoff. They've sold out literally every game since 88. Its a different universe.

Lol Justin, I was about to make the same point. Saban CONSTANTLY complains about how little commitment Bama's football fans have at games and how they never stay and cheer the whole game.

The Louisville game started with high energy. Then we started losing. You could've felt that if you were at the game...

The thing is, our games are high energy when they're close and we're up, if not... they're not. Sure, you can say we have fair weather fans. But at the end of the day, it's hard to get a huge crowd of people "in" to a game where you're down with a team that may or may not pull through.

one year I upgraded my season tickets to be at midcourt in the 3rd level, it was miserable for this exact reason! The next year I moved back to behind the basket, saved some money, and could sit/cheer however I wanted
