I went to Brier Creek after we ate dinner. Got the pumps! Which I like a lot.
I agree, that wearing all this stuff together is just but I love some of the separates.. I want the small robe, one of the cardigan, and a throw. Totally sold out online, of course.
It looks like the Burlington Target has a lot in limited availability, but I do not know if I want to drive all that way just for a maybe. And then with ^ news.. Though, I would go by Mebane to check out the new Company Store outlet... Crud. What to do! 9/14/2011 10:45:35 AM |

Free people on hautelook today.. I got this shirt (wanted some other stuff but lots is already sold out or on hold)
I know it's simple, but I liked the cuffs a lot... When you flip them up it's a floral pattern and I'm a sucker for long sleeved black knit shirts.
Also scored some make-up... Now to for real not spend any more money 9/14/2011 11:30:31 AM |

I can't wait to figure out what food is messing me up
Because when I cut that shit out... Im pretty sure I will easily drop 10-15 lbs in straight fluid retention
And the more I think about it, the more I wonder if that's why I lost a ton of weight last fall. I started the adderall and stopped eating, and lost like 10 lbs in three weeks or something like that. Maybe it was because I only had like an orange a day and yogurt, so I was cutting out whatever food is causing all this?

^ I used to think it was that but I did always think it was weird I dropped that much weight in such a quick time (especially considering most of it was in the first two weeks I believe).. And I've always had a hard time losing weight even when I would cut down on portions. But I hardly had any grains during that time. 9/14/2011 12:17:00 PM |

Well you did kind of stop eating for 2 weeks 9/14/2011 12:18:28 PM |
Samwise16 All American 12710 Posts user info edit post |
Longer than that, but not to a point where I would drop that much weight so quickly.
I'm not saying all of it was bloat because obviously not eating a lot isnt healthy, but considering how long I have been living with a bloated stomach I wouldn't be surprised if it was mainly fluid 9/14/2011 12:25:20 PM |

i still don't think you're eating enough for how much you're working out. i used to spend hours working out and the scale never budged. i ate more (but healthier foods) and actually scaled back my work outs to high intensity interval training and 20 minutes of running and i saw better results.

If you're stressing your body with too much exercise and not enough food, then your body can react by overproducing cortisol, which can lower your metabolism.9/14/2011 2:11:41 PM |

I'm definently not starving myself. I don't count every single calories so usually its an estimate. There was only one day that I was under 900 calories. Usually I range from 1300-1500 or even more if I work out more. I allow myself to eat as many veggies and fruits as I want so I'm never starving. I'm also wondering if it is my birth control that is holding me back. It seems Peter thinks I should give it more time and not stress over it. But to me 2 weeks seems like a long time to go without losing anything.
I recently have been researching different stores to figure out where I want to shop for work clothes. I usually just try to find the cheapest outfits possible, but I think I want to go for quality this time. What stores do you believe to have the best quality clothes that hold up the longest? I got some pants from NY&Co and they are still going strong after 3 years of being washed weekly or more. 9/14/2011 2:14:07 PM |

I swear by my GAP Perfect Trousers ($59.50 but if you go on Wed when they do facebook promotions you can get 40% off)
They wear better than the Theory suiting pants (which are $Texas) 9/14/2011 2:17:10 PM |

you should be consuming around 1500 after including a work out. so aim for 2000 if you're burning 500 calories working out a day
if anyone knows about cortisol issues, it's me let me tell you pseudo-Cushings is NO fun and i found it was my birth control that was jacking up my cortisol twice the normal range (normal is supposed to be 6-19, i was at a 38). are you on a generic birth control? i was on generic and the minute i switched back to name brand, my cortisol levels went down pretty quickly. and then i got my food allergy under control and my whole body breathed a giant sigh of relief and everything feels pretty balanced now
i used to spend a lot of time talking with my endocrinologist's nurse (when your endo thinks you have a hormone induced tumor in your brain, you spend a lot of time at the doctors ) and she told me that a lot of their patients notice they have more issues with weight gain and higher cortisol rates on generic birth control versus name brand. Joie went into detail about the differences between name brand and generic in the Beachbody thread a while back (it would have been earlier this year - like January-March time frame) because while i work in the pharma industry, i know how to get the studies to run, i don't know much about the chemical compounds of the drug itself. 9/14/2011 2:19:22 PM |

yeah, I think I will start doing more tae bo and start eating more calories. If I do that and still haven't lost weight in 2 more weeks, then I might go visit a doctor or stop taking the BC and see if that helps. My birth control changes a lot so I always forget what I'm currently taking. All I know is I pay $10/month and its a 23 day cycle instead of 21. I'll check on it after work. 9/14/2011 2:43:39 PM |

It sounds like you're on the generic version of Yaz (that's one of the 23/24 pill packs). I switched over to Beyaz in March (which is pretty much the same thing as Yaz, just a different name but same pharma company and everything) and everything has been great so far. I also get a discount because of my affiliation with the drug companies so I don't pay the full copay but you could talk to you OBGYN about any prescription cards that the pharma companies are marketing. It'll knock off about $10-15 a month off your prescription for about a year.
Consider switching off the generic for a while and see what happens before going cold turkey on the BC 9/14/2011 2:48:03 PM |

i need a girl's opinion on this.
I have my old engagement ring that I dont know what to do with.
I really love it but obviously I can't wear it anymore.
Sometimes I still feel it on my finger.
I hate seeing it every day in my closet where I keep it.
Anything I can do with it without getting rid of it?
Is there a way I can make it into a pendant or something? Has anyone done this before? Was it expensive? 9/14/2011 3:56:51 PM |

There was an episode of SATC that touched on this... she sold it for money. That's always an option! Otherwise, necklace will be your cheapest option.
I'm turning an old engagement ring into a right hand ring, and it gets expensive with custom setting, extra stones, etc. 9/14/2011 4:35:28 PM |

That dress Diva posted is no where to be found It's also the one that's selling for like, $200 on eBay. The skirt, on the other hand, I THINK I saw at Brier Creek. Granted, that was yesterday.
I got this bathrobe.
Yay! Ok, I'll move on from this stuff :X
I love GAP trouser pants. Yum. I think my favorite pants are a Curvy trouser from them. They fit AWESOMELY.

Sooooooo I'm embarrassed to say this but I've been wearing Tevas to work for the past two months. But whenever I go to the shoe stores around here to get real work shoes I can't find anything I like
Basically I need shoes that easily slip on and off, are versatile, and can stand up to me having to walk A LOT. Only reason I've managed to get away with Tevas for this long is when I'm at my desk I usually take my shoes off and my feet are out of sight 9/14/2011 6:21:15 PM |
