Picked up an old record player cabinet credenza for $15 at Salvation Army today. It needs a little TLC for sure but I think it will work nicely in the dining room that we are in the middle of putting together. Here's a quick glance at it when we got it home:

^^ I have been looking for an old record player for that EXACT same reason for about 6 months. Haven't seen a one since then.

^^ thanks The radio portion works but the record player does not. It actually has lighting inside of the middle cabinet that still works as well.

^ aw :/ We had been looking for something like this (not necessarily a record player version) for a long time too and could never find anything. All the salvation army and goodwill stores near us are generally terrible. Then we randomly got a cool ottoman and this thing for a total of $20 over a span of a few days at the same location. Glad you like the rug better here too. I was definitely happy with how it worked in the space after getting it home and I think it will probably look better once we finish the room too.

^^That's awesome. The one I was envisioning would have had the flip up top portion (so a little older style than the one you have). I wanted to covert it into a bar hutch, and use the flip up part as ice storage, etc. But now that I know they ARE out there, I'll keep looking .
