is there a tag on it?

I've always taken mine to a laundromat with a larger front loading washer and dryer

I've missed you guys!!

Nerdchick - You look great in that dress!

Just got back from a cruise celebrating three years of marriage with my hubby.

This is the dress I wore for formal night. Got it at a department store and had it majorly altered. I really like the colors.

jeepin, i would take the comforter to a dry cleaner

the dry cleaner i use does comforters for under $10 so it's really not that bad

plus you don't have to hang out in a laundromat while your shit is washing and drying

Ugh I wish we had an Ikea closer to Raleigh. Having to drive to Charlotte just to look at some damn cabinets is annoying.

True but I didn't care about kitchen cabinets then You'd think with the amount of yuppies in this area we could easily support our own IKEA store.

I'm sure none of you care, but I'm officially boycotting this thread. at least the last 10 posts I've made have gotten absolutely zero response. So fuck you bitches, I no longer care how you're wasting your money.

Ikea kitchen cabinets sound like a horrible idea.

Look at flat pack ones you can buy on the internet and assemble yourself. Same as Ikea, only probably higher quality and no driving.

^^You're right

I never see your postings...when pics are posted all around I just look for the photos

I don't like reading

Plus you haven't posted anything of substance lately either

Boycott away....maybe we'll see you back in the future (but we probably won't notice that either)

lol you should have read that before you posted

go into the store...explain what happened...say you will return the item if they don't adjust

they don't wanna take the hit, so 10% off what you paid is a lot better for their bottom line

Actually the cabinets that IKEA make are good stuff. They use high end finishings and have 25-year warranties on all their cabinetry. I've yet to find another cabinet maker that will guarantee their goods for even half that time and they're all much more expensive. Some people get pissy about components being make from particleboard but unless you have $texas to spend on all solid wood even the higher end cabinets these days use particleboard components.

My cat managed to scratch both my brown and black everyday heels up last week ( ) so when I got an email from DSW I got sucked in. Ended up getting

and

because I LOVE boots and don't have any gray ones.
Both for under $80.

Do y'all wear boots now on chilly days or wait till it's more on the winter side?

me too
I'll go somewhere like DSW and will try them on and it's like well shit.
I'm still hoping to find some that fit SOMEwhere. It also doesn't help that I'm short and most come up to my knees and look stupid even if they did fit.

I have the opposite problem. I have slim calves that don't match my big feet. Any ideas for slim calved boots that zip?? (Overwise I can't fit my feet into them).

So I know we have talked about health stuff in here before, and I'm not getting much response in the beach body thread...

Does anyone have any experience with Crohn's disease? (Personal or with a friend/family member)

I've been thinking about my "professional wardrobe" - I pretty much workout for a living so I'm beginning to see the justification of $100 yoga pants and $40 tanks... they're like my business suits.

so on a whim I went to the lululemon showroom off glenwood. I tried on some pants just to check my size and the length - with the intention of going home and buying them online for cheaper. but omg this one pair was so fabulous that I had to have them NOW. then when they rang me up, I got a discount because I teach yoga/pilates and then some other discount that they didn't mention and the final total was a little over $50 (the price tag said $78).

later I looked them up on facebook (yeah I'm a dork) and today was the last day the showroom was open and they were discounting everything!!!!!! if I had known, I would've bought more!! they're opening a store in a different location at the end of october though.

lulu butt:

^Why? What makes the price difference worth it over $15 target pants? I'm not being facetious, I'm truly curious, because I've heard that from a lot of people. But aren't all exercise pants made equal?

Yeah in a similar fashion when I danced 4 times a week for 3+ hours (I'm talkin jazz & ballet folks) it was worth it to spend the extra $$ for better made dance attire and shoes. Otherwise I'd be spending more money in the long run for cheaper stuff bc they'd wear faster. Works the same way with clothes in general. Spend $15 for an in trend shirt at old navy, but spend $100 for a staple blazer or something you would wear and use often to get that extra mile just bc it's well made.

Since this is her profession...totally justifiable. They also look really comfy and hot

Exactly. They're so durable that they're worth it in the long run. With cheapo target pants, the elastic goes quickly. So you replace them more often.

My family is from Vancouver (where Lululemon was founded) and many of them still have clothes from the stores's first 2-3 years. Now they aren't super hard on them, but I have Old Navy yoga pants who look crappy from a year ago... 8+ years and still going strong is impressive imo.

With that said, I had no idea we had a store in Raleigh.

WOW! I agree the collection looks amazing! A lot of the pieces are even ... wearable by actual humans! And that's coming from me, who prefers structured to flowy. I personally wouldn't wear any of the collection, but they look great.

you are not made of cray cray, I've gone from 190's to 170's in the past year. my bf and I are having a competition starting Oct 1st to see who can lose the most (% wise), so I'm currently stuffing my face for the next few days so I can win.

How long are y'all competing? That is awesome. Mark and I should do something similar but i would be aiming to lose % body weight and he'd be aiming to gain

PS - your ass looks fiiiiiiiiiiine in those pants. I really want to get some nice work out stuff but dang it's kind of expensive so I'll need to get like a couple of items a month and build up a good work out wardrobe that way.

And Kate - I saw Linda a couple of weeks ago and if you think she looks super fit in that picture, you should have seen her in person. She looks great!

and it's just for the month of October - the idea came because my halloween costume is pretty skimpy (think leotard) and I wanted to look good.
