Im going with the theory that those guys know what is happening, though they may have left anyway, and this pushed them into the draft. If Rick Barnes was staying becuase of loyalty to his player, a la Roy Williams the first time, he would have no reason to. I am not saying he is coming, I am just saying this is another plus in the "Go To NCSU" column.

I might be wrong about this, might be BUT...I think that happened before this past season where Pearl wouldn't release someone from their LOI at Tennessee and they had to go play for a JC for this season because of it...I remember hearing a lot about him not getting released from it, I'm just not positive about the outcome.

The people on PrickPride keep getting more and more sure. I'll take Barnes and be happy, but I still say Tubby is the better coach and would be a better hire.

God, the wait for the Barnes decision is killing me.

If we land him then I will be at the rally when he comes here with my "FUCK JIM ROME" sign drunk as hell. Can't wait.

Perhaps this is foreshadowing of things to come for our school (*Fowler's great design?):
Bball : In the dumps for decades & we get a coach to get us decent enough until we land the marlin coach (Herb > Barnes)(starts TOMMOROW!)

Football: So-so for years and years until we get a coach that builds us into a decent enough program until we land the KING MACKEREL coach (Chuck > Cowher)(2-3+years away)

What a wonderful world this would be, eh?

Friend of the Family's that goes fishing/hunting in NC is an AD at a Midwest school.....says that Barnes has accepted the offer to return to NC and coach at NCSU. Supposidly, barnes was unsure and did not really know if he wanted to come. However, his wife really wanted to go back to NC and has persuaded him to come to NCSU.
