saucer's great- and I think you learned to like it because you realized that even though they have good not cheap beer, you can still drink "domestic" junk for pretty cheap. And yes, I classify Foster Oil Cans as "domestic" junk. And the food is good too!

Maybe I haven't had the right food.

Because everything I've eaten at the saucer was shitty overpriced bar food that pales in comparison with any other feasible alternative.

The beer is unmatched though. I'm there at least once a week, even when I'm tightening the budget.

the FS Charlotte is my bar, i love it and it's the perfect setting/atmosphere for me. But Duckworths is quickly catching up. If Duckworth's was a little more "barry" and less "restauranty" and had dartboards it would surpass FS in no time. Their food is impeccable.

but that being said, having gotten to know everyone at FS i enjoy the personal feel and i dont think that would happen anywhere else
