My main concern is I'm more of a mid/long range player, so the Scars accuracy might trump the TARs increased power and magazine for me

^^^I use the M16 exclusively too. on most maps i'll use holo sight and a silencer, despite the decreased range. I definitely heart the M16, and it was my fall-back/go-to in COD4 also.

I am sure you did spare my life a few times. I was not at peak performance last night, and am still a rook at video games in general. The chopper gunner is the beast. I tried the AC-130 and it is a lot less lethal with the time it takes to fire.

Anyways feel free to take me down every chance you get next time. Its the only way to get better.

The ACR has practically no kick, its like an automatic version of W@W's M1A1 Carbine, it also has decent clip size. Definately going to be my top gun.

I stay away from using the Famas/M16 because typically due to lag, even on a stationary target, I get only 2/3 bullets from a burst to actually count, I find its better to be able to just piss bullets into a target until the game tells me they are dead.

Maybe if the matchmaking improves I will give a 3 shot weapon a chance. The Famas and the M16 are the only other rifles that can compete with the precision of the ACR.

Am I the only one who, in general, likes light machine guns more than assault rifles?

Now granted, I've only unlocked half the ARs, but the added firepower, especially now that with Bling you can have a silenced LMG, makes me a fan of LMGs. Especially with the larger mags. The only real downside is the reload time, but you have enough ammo in one magazine to kill 5 or 6 people before even having to reload

I do enjoy the light machine guns, working on the M4 occasionally.

M4 - Red Dot, Grip
Stinger
Tactical Insertion
Smoke
Bling Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Scrambler Pro
Painkiller

But assault rifles are my go to gun, they are more flexible and I am more of a mobile player so its hard to be really effective with an LMG.

I play with the M16 (switched to it after finishing up the SCAR-H) and I enjoy it a lot. Throw on stopping power and each burst is guaranteed a kill if you have decent aim waist up. it's definately beast. The performance drop without stopping power is noticeable, but still not bad.

i love the RPD, thats the first (and only so far) gun i worked through all the achievements on.

but starting last night i got onto the FAL, and i'm playing much better with that. i think the fact that its single shot forces me to take my time more and take better shots, i'm liking it a lot.

unfortunately the AUG is the only LMG i've been able to like, didn't really enjoy the RPD too much. I'm normally an assault rifle or SMG kinda guy.

The Javeline is one of the coolest weapons I have seen in a video game, just spamming it in any high trafficed area, with its killing radius its bound to kill somebody. With Scavenger, its one of the best secondary weapons to have.

Just found out that the emp killstreak will cancel out a tactical nuke. It will also destroy anything that the enemies have in the air - helicopters, pave lows, etc...

The AA-12 is insane. It's my secondary for every one of my custom classes. I'm definitely an assault rifle guy myself... I'm getting better with the TAR and M16, but the M4 is still my go-to for now. The M4 doesn't have the best stats, but the rate of fire combined with FMJ's, it's still sick.

FMJ only bumps up the damage bar a tiny fraction - does it really make that much difference?
(only asking b/c the stat bars on guns don't really reflect true performance)

i unlocked FMJ on the m4 but haven't tried it out...

^ FMJ bullets are designed to be like armor piercing rounds, therefore can go through more surfaces easier than regular bullets. helps with shooting people through walls.

^ well you can make clans and such and go in as a party in Team Deathmatch. I guess you would have to contact other clans to schedule a time to play though...otherwise you will be playing against random people.

Man ResNet must hate me or my xbox, I cannot get a good connection in any of these games. I keep going between 2-3-4 bars all game.

Im playing with my friend who lives a couple miles down the road and he has standard Roadrunner, but he isnt getting much lag at all.

Finished going through it on Veteran today...I agree with whoever said Veteran was easier than the previous games...I mean there are difficult parts, like getting to Hotel Whiskey, but its not that bad overall. Now I'm only about 5 enemy intel laptops from having all 45 of them. I had to pick up one of them on the snowmobile escape! I'll probably mess around some with Special Ops at some point after that.

Has anybody checked out the Museum level on single player? I guess it shows up when you beat the game on any level. Its the museum from the credits but there is a button on the welcome desk in each of the two rooms and if you press it, all the enemies in the room come to life and try to kill you. Fun stuff.

Also I'm going to keep a spreadsheet of my K/D each day I play so I can graph it
