Yea PS3 is a lost cause. I tried to play with a couple of my IRL friends and we all came to the conclusion that it was better pre-1.04(and it was turrrible then). 15+ mins trying to get into a lobby and then once you get in as soon as the game starts you get disconnected. If something doesn't happen fast my PS3 copy is gone. As for Xbox I have not updated yet. I don't think I am even going to waste my time until I see some positive posts on here...guess it is time to catch up on my goozex'ed games.

I didn't see many issues with the update yesterday. A little bit of lag in a few matches, but only maybe 25% more frequently than usual.

One awful symptom was Grim Reaper glitchyness (at least in Gun Game). Was playing with some friends and every time one of us got to the GR, the guy would constantly flip the sight in and out and in and out like he was switching from primary to secondary incessantly. It still shot, but the first one you couldn't ADS, then it would shoot two rounds rapidly. Really odd behavior.

I would highly recommend gun game if you have a party of 5 or 6. It's a lot of fun when you're playing with your buddies. Much moreso than randoms.

Yes, this is fucking awful. I'm seeing about a 50% failure (disconnects, freezing during map load, server communication loss, game lobby closed errors, etc.) rate after the update. I tried to play a little with dannydigtl last night, and I swear we spent 30 minutes just to get in a match, and after 5 minutes, it failed.

If they don't get this shit fixed soon, I'm probably just going to give up on the game. Sadly, I think the gameplay is superior to MW2, but the instability is ridiculous.

^ Yea no shit and now ^^ they are saying to delete my shit. I realzie that jimmypop is just reposting to help so this is not directed towards you. But I shouldn't have to delete my game save to make their product work. That being said there is still no guarantee that it will fix the issue. Bottom line is Treyarch has FAILED EPICALLY. What I want to know is how the hell a patch that is supposed to fix issues fucks it up worse than it was. I hate to say it but hopefully this will be the death of CoD, it's a shame it has come to this...oh how I miss Infinity Ward

this is pretty bad. i'm so tired of the PS3 getting shat on. there is no way i'm deleting my unfinished campaign data to get online.

maybe the problem will resolve itself but i'm not playing multi until i hear it is fixed and by then i might have moved on. getting a Wii and Super Mario Galaxy 2 soon

Was there something in the patch that brought back quickscoping?

In the one game I actually got to play last night, one dude chased me all around the map trying to 360 and shoot with his sniper rifle

yeah I dunno about deleting your stuff. That would bug me. Hopefully they'll fix it so you guys don't have to do that. I have it for the 360 and haven't tried the update yet. Is it okay for the 360?

Yeah they increased the headshot multiplier for the folks that use silencers on their sniper rifles so silenced headshots will always be one hit one kill. They also increased the accuracy for sniper rifles when zoomed in. That's supposed to have given quickscopers a little hope in bringing quickscoping back again. Which I'm hoping not.

When I first put the disc in and played for the first time, I went to Combat Training. I saw all of you guys from my XBL game list playing too and was all like "OH HAI!!!" I started whooping all your asses and was all like "Damn you guys are sucking at Black Ops and I am kicking ass!" Yeah, my problem is that I've developed a habit of almost always going ADS; it's hard to force myself into firing from the hip. I also don't use warlord much, but I really like warlord pro for the extra grenades. And I learned that the grip makes a huge difference even when in ADS. Recoil without it will force your shots straight up -- with it equipped, your spray stays in a nice tight group.

And I just watched the spinorama clip again in theater mode because I was wondering wtf that guy was doing just staring at me. Turns out he fired two ballistic knives at my head from less than a foot away and neither one touched me.
