For the first two seasons, while the new arena was being constructed, the Hurricanes played their games eighty miles away at the Greensboro Coliseum. At one of these early games the front office people decided it was time to debut Stormy. The house lights went down and the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey blared from the speakers as the Zamboni drove out to center ice. Unbeknownst to the fans, Stormy was hiding in the ice collection chamber of the Zam and upon cue, was supposed to "be born" and climb out, skate around and do his antics.

That was the plan. Instead, the lights went down, the music played, the Zamboni drove out, and the introduction was made. Then nothing happened. The announcer, thinking Stormy didn't hear his cue, repeated the introduction. Nothing happened. The Zamboni drove back off the ice. The fans wondered what in the hell was going on. It turned out that the guy in the Stormy suit was an epileptic with claustrophobia. There wasn't enough oxygen in the ice chamber of the Zam and this caused him to have a seizure. Honest.

Zamboni is a brand name of ice resurfacing machines. The Hurricanes use Olympia brand ice resurfacers.

All I know is that once, on a drunken night, I said something mean to Joie out of pure absent-mindedness. Instead of being mean back to me, she just grinned, and was even nicer to me than she was before!
I've felt like a giant dick ever since. Although she most likely doesn't remember this incident, I do... and she has my respect forever and ever. Honestly, we could all learn a lot from her.

well how many points do I have and whats the max amount of points one can earn on the internets? Can we set up something to keep track of these things? you realize no one is being "mean" to her, right? let's examine the facts:

- girl knowingly and willfully has pictures of her taken in the nude
- girl knowingly and willfully shares pictures publicly
- girl accepts any friend request she receives on facebook, thereby further expanding her public exposure
- girl shares her marital status on facebook with her plethora of "friends"

and so, Joie "deserves" for everyone to look the other way when she knowingly and willfully shares nearly every intimate detail (including her body, mind you)?

That's totally right, and I imagine she would agree with that, from the little interaction I have to go on.

To douse a little reality in this thread, she's likely not in distress to begin with. No one knows what the circumstances around the split (if there was a split) were. As much as you would like to pretend otherwise, very few of us attain a lifelong relationship that works out. Who knows what decision the couple made, why they made it, but they're probably happier after it.

If I was a hot woman like Joie I would be split about the attention I got from TWW. On the one hand, it probably feels at least a little objectifying and violating. On the other hand, TWW doesn't hate her.

The internet is largely deterministic. I don't think anything I've seen here couldn't be predicted by the people who made the information/pics available. It's not incomprehensible, if I had girl parts, putting them all over the interwebs would be a very attractive option, but there's an obvious drawback.
