I was disappointed with Wade not playing, but the rest of the team did.
Chris Bosh played really well, and even LeBron put forth effort.

It was odd seeing him play on our court, though.
As far as the Bobcats, they kept it close because the Heat played their bench. Biyombo looked pretty good, and Reggie Jackson hit three 3's. The announcer couldn't say Ramon Sessions name to save his life. Lebron packed his shit to the backboard once.
And Coach K was there. 10/24/2012 2:19:34 PM |

I wasn't impressed with Biyombo's play. Sessions looked to be the best player and it wasn't close.
MKG didn't standout. I've been thinking, is his ceiling being a player similar to Gerald Wallace? And if it is, would that be considered a good #2 overall pick? 10/24/2012 6:12:32 PM |

It was at the Greensboro Coliseum. They were playing RJ Reynolds High, which was a powerhouse at the time. They tried to put their best player, Reyshawn Terry, on Lebron. I think Terry had four fouls two minutes into the game.
Lebron didn't even looked like he tried and he squashed Reynolds. Man amongst boys (and like I said, Reynolds was a great team)

No, it's really not. On average, players enter their peak at 25 years old and stay there until 28 when they begin to tail off significantly. (There are select few exceptions, typically 'big' point guards and centers.)
He's 22.5. Most players who eventually become stars are already playing at a high level at age 22. Think about where Lebron, Durant, and Magic Johnson were at age 22.
Kemba is a below average BACKUP guard in the league right now. He may become a serviceable NBA rotation player and he may not. The odds at him becoming a star player are at least 100:1 against.
At this point his ceiling looks closer to Darren Collison.

Rick Bonnell already trashing MKG. Said he reminds him more of David Wingate 2.0 than the #2 overall pick.
Like dude, Scottie Pippen averaged 4 ppg for Central Arkansas when he was 18. It's a little early for the David Wingate comparisons.
We're not going to be good this year. This should be all about developing MKG and Biyombo. Seeing if Henderson can become an asset. And testing Kemba/Mullens to see if they can become NBA players. 10/25/2012 11:14:26 PM |

From MJ's State of the Team address. I know talk is cheap, but he's saying all the right things IMO:
--He said the franchise is open to a nickname switch should New Orleans Hornets owner Tom Benson follow through on changing that team’s name. Some fans want the Hornets name and logo back in Charlotte.
--He said he told the players to stop griping about new coach Mike Dunlap’s long practices, that they need the fundamental drills he’s employed: “You can’t say we don’t need that stuff. If so, we wouldn’t be going 7-59 as a team.’’
--Jordan also said he’s advised the players, “Either you’re in or you’re not going to be here.’’
--Jordan described rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist as a “connector,’’ comparing him to former Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen: “He’s a very versatile guy. He’s motivated. He loves to play and play hard.’’
--He said the Bobcats “made a couple of calls’’ about shooting guard James Harden’s availability before the Oklahoma City Thunder traded Harden to the Houston Rockets this week.
--He said co-captain Gerald Henderson “gets it. He shows signs of being a leader. These are the things we’re expecting from Gerald,’’ adding he’s “pretty sure’’ Henderson will be asking for a big raise to stay here in his next contract.
--Jordan said he still believes the Bobcats could be an attractive destination for major free agents down the road, but “I also understand we’ve got to get our house in order, to make that attractive to people.’’

^^Yep, I don't care how shitty of an owner MJ has been. If he can bring back the Hornets, his credibility goes back in the positive.
The Pacers are a really solid team, but Granger is out for them. I'm not too worried about Paul George -- MKG will probably shut him down -- but I can see Hibbert and West eating us alive down low. Gonna need the good Mullens to show up. If he does, I really like the Bobcats chances of ending the losing streak 11/1/2012 5:19:26 PM |
