amazing how many national writers are blaming this bama loss on being hungover from LSU. like it has nothing to do with their defense being exposed and the QB being average.
of course, these are the same writers who completely ignore Notre Dame stomping Oklahoma @ OK and instead are trying to use Pitt as the end-all barometer for the Irish
If Bama Wins out, they will go 11-1 with wins over
Western Kentucky Western Carolina Ole Miss Tennessee Mizzou Auburn Arkansas FAU
They basically have a 3 game season, and will go 2-1 in them (Mississippi State is a mediocre team with an inflated ranking)

unless Oregon and Kansas State both lose a game, Notre Dame is gonna get left out from not having a conference title game
and it will be their own dumb Irish faults for not accepting any of the multiple conference invites they've received over the last few years 11/10/2012 10:35:06 PM |

Nigga please. If ND wins out it doesn't matter what anyone else does, they'll be in the title game. You know how long the college football world has been waiting for them to be relevant again? 11/10/2012 10:41:11 PM |

you'd be right if we didn't have BCS rankings. Oregon and Kansas State will get an extra win over a ranked team in conference championship week when Notre Dame has a bye and loses even more BCS points.
but i still think Kiffin beats em, making it a moot point 11/10/2012 10:45:02 PM |

I'm still gonna stick by it. Remember the BCS rankings are 2/3's human votes.
And I thought B12 only had 10 teams, therefore no championship game...

after a rough start, only leading 14-10, Oregon comfortably up 45-17 early in the 4th
wonder if face thinks there a top-10 team yet 11/11/2012 1:28:14 AM |

LO fucking L
the reason ND won't make it has nothing to do with championship games or strength of schedule. it only has to do with preseason polls.

BOTH? There are only three undefeated teams. Are you saying Georgia or Alabama will jump them? That is pretty much a statistical impossibility if ND wins out.
On an unrelated note it was embarrassing having McCarron in the Heisman Trophy hunt. Thank God that got weeded out. Alabama doesn't HAVE to have someone at the presentation, unless Saban changed the rules.

alabama would not have lost to tamu if they didn't play lsu the week before but thats life and everyone has to deal with things like that. notre dames schedule is good at the bottom but bad at the top. usc michigan and michigan state were all expected to be top10-15 teams but fell way back. miami win looks like crap now as well.

this is bullshit. check his numbers. he had not thrown a pick before today and lead his team back to become the only person not named tebow to win a night game at baton rouge. theres a huge opinion shift that heisman has to go to a fast qb. (its a knee jerk reaction to the old way of it having to go to a white qb) its like reverse racism.11/11/2012 2:36:12 PM |

So mr stats man isn't going to use stats to determine which team is superior, just the computer formulas? If there were no more games to be played but a nc game in a month, do you really think ND Nwould win against k state or Oregon? I think nd wins only 20% of the time. 11/11/2012 11:21:38 PM |

yeah, "squeaking out wins against BYU, Purdue, and Pitt at home" for ND doesn't sound "objectively better" than "blowing out damned near every team they've faced" in the case of Oregon. And then let's not even talk about the refjob that was pulled on Stanford to give ND that win, too. ND has one quality win that's not tainted, and that was OU 11/12/2012 1:20:22 PM |
