I bought brown leggings for cheap, but I'm having trouble finding the right dress / sweater / tunic to wear with them. The leggings are thin, so the top needs to at least cover my butt. Any suggestions?

I like the first top a lot, but be mindful of the negative reviews. It's rated much lower than the other shirt. Apparently, the cut is a little weird and it's possibly too sheer (easy to fix with a camisol), so you may want to try it on at a store before buying.

Dear favorite thread,

Has anyone seen a black lace over cream lining dress in any stores / online shops lately? I'm being wishy washy about my plans for my wedding dress. I had wanted to wear a black dress and a black birdcage veil but now I'm wondering if that's too ... funeral and severe. I've always wanted a cream colored lace dress, but the couple I tried on made me look washed out because I'm pale as hell.

Either way, I'm wearing these tights!

And probably these shoes in red depending on whatever dress I end up with.

AWESOME, I was planning to head there tomorrow! I dunno about the one in Raleigh, but here that means I'll be standing in line 30 minutes just to try the thing on.

question for the ladies on here that use/have used an IUD. Do you use paragard or mirena? Anybody ever need to have it re-situated by their doc?

I have a mirena. Never had any issues. I've hit the 5 year mark and I'm getting it taken out this month. I'd get another one put back in if it weren't for some other circumstances that have nothing to do with the actual IUD.

limited trapped me again....

i had a coupon for a free scarf with purchase that expired today and i had about $45 in limited bucks plus a $50 off $150 coupon so i figured i could go in and at the very least spend the $45 in store credit i had to get the free scarf (which was really cute, blue & white with a red accent)

i left 90min later with a bag full of stuff

-- 2 winter dresses
-- 2 necklaces
-- 2 pair of earrings
-- 2 belted cardigans
-- 2 short sleeve button down shirts for work
-- long sleeve stripey shirt
-- 3 sleeveless silky shirts to wear under suit jackets
-- 7 camis (with NO built in bra, praise the lord!!!! i wear those fuckers under EVERYTHING and my collection is getting worn out)

i also earned 5 "virtual bucks" which are $25 each and good for $25 off $50 from oct 3-26 and it includes all sale, clearance and whatnot

they just keep you coming back...

also they have the secret saver account going on now where they put 10% of what you spend in a hidden account between certain dates for you to use later. i like the idea of it, we'll see how it turns out

now i have a some pretty purple and gold colors to mix into my fall and winter wardrobe

on another note... i got these at payless when i was home in NC. the brown is actually a lot darker and REALLY pretty! also they're very comfy. and since i don't have snow or rain to worry about in houston, i think they'll stay in good condition for awhile

i love payless. i have some flats i got there that i constantly get compliments on which surprises me since they're so basic and forgettable but i'll take it!

Welp...

She doesn't like it. I gave it to her like a week or two ago. Tonight she sheepishly asked me if I would be offended if she returned it.

Oh well. Probably no more of this buying actual clothes for girl madness.

that makes me sad for you. I hope that doesn't discourage you from ever trying again, or discourage other guys from trying the same thing. Because it's really sweet.

And if she happens to be unable to return it, I could probably take it off your hands

halp me

ok so usually i just wash my face once a day (I know I'm lazy and gross) and my face started to break out a lot (go figure) so I began washing it in the morning and before I went to bed.

Now my face is COMPLETELY dried out. like it feels scaley like a snake and that is worse than the breakouts (which have greatly improved but fml anyway)

so I ask you ladies thread, how the fuck do I find a happy medium?

In the morning I wash with the apricot scrub, at night I use the neutrogena grapefruit wash
Both times I use an alcohol free stridex face pad thing for sensitive skin and then I slather my skin with nivea soft cream moisturizer

am I doing something wrong? is there something I'm missing? please to make my face not lizardy

i know, words, but I bolded the gist

It's actually not good to wash your face all the time so you were probably on the right track before Just wash your face with water unless you're having to remove makeup or something.

i used the have the same issues til i found a very light moisturizer and now just wash the face before i go to bed, sleep with the moisturizer on and my skin is perfect.

this is what i use. took me forever to find the balance.

(oh and i don't use an exfoliator in the winter, just a cream cleanser, exfoliating makes my skin horribly dry)

using the gel, not the lotion is what the major key for me was.

i might cut back on the stridex pad - even though there isn't alcohol it could be contributing to the dryness

^^well I do have to wash the makeup off at night... so maybe wash at night and not the morning? that's probably a good idea actually since I've started to shower at night anyway due to my work being super super stinky

but will that make the breakouts come back you think?

^you make a valid point on the exfoliator during the winter. i am dumb. and how much $$$ is that moisturizer? i absolutely LOVE philosophy's hope in a jar but I switched to nivea because I was poor

the moisturizer might be whats causing the breakouts... too much gunk clogging your pores. if you have skin that is prone to breakouts - that can contribute.

just my opinion though.

A trick I use in the winter when my face tends to dry out is to mix avocado oil with a touch of castor oil and some lavender extract. Then I splash my face with warm water, massage the oil into my face for 2-3 minutes, then put hot water on a washcloth and drape it over my face until it cools off or I get bored, then use the washcloth to wipe off the oil. Voila! Rehydrated and clean skin!

Quote :

I don't think it would cause the breakouts to come back but it all depends on what was causing them in the first place. It's just as likely to be from stress or something in your diet as anything else.

On top of that, maybe drink more water and change your diet a bit? Certain foods are beneficial for your skin. Lots of veggies (for water) and foods that have healthy fats, like avocado, nuts and olive oil. If you're drinking a lot of beverages that dehydrate you, you'll notice it in your skin. Less coffee and alcohol can help.

Also, thanks for the recommendation on the microderm. Just got my first one tonight! Skin feels amazing.

Castor oil you can pick up at the pharmacy. Most supermarkets these days have avocado oil, but it's usually cheaper on Amazon. Essential oils (lavender, rosemary, etc) are cheap on Amazon too.

I just bought that Clinique DDM gel the other night ($23 for 4.2 oz) and I really like it. It's very light and absorbs quickly, doesn't just sit on my skin like other lotions and moisturizers I've tried in the past.

I also bought the Philosophy Microdelivery Peel that DivaBaby19 posted a few pages back. I absolutely loved it. Even after one use, my skin is clearer and brighter.

This could be a big part of the issue. Definitely get a little more water in your system before and after work. At least it's just your skin. Sometimes there can be other issues when you're a little dehydrated (kidney stones, dry hair, etc). Eating more veggies will also help you boost your water intake ... even if just a little bit.

But gg on the new job.
