Well, I have only been growing my hair out since late spring... So I know it's not just the growing out part, unfortunately. seems like I lose a ton of hair no matter what length it is. It comes out in handfuls now


But anyway, I love that cut! I think you could pull it off

that is not good sam. what do you consider handfuls? I'm not trying to belittle your health issues or whatever, i'm just concerned that maybe I should be more concerned about myself. A LOT of my hair comes out in the shower. I thought it was just a thing that came along with long hair. but seriously. a lot of hair.

Handfuls meaning within a few days it clogs up my drain, and I usually sit in the shower for a few minutes grabbing my hair gently and pulling down (and I'll find clumps of hair that get caught on my back, thigh, whatever)

At the beginning of my junior year of college (pre major haircut) I could only wear those thick ponytail holders and wrap it around like twice. Now I can wear the thing ponytail holders and wrap them around 4 times.

oh I only have to unclog once a month. damn girl. I went out and bought a shower comb to use instead of running my fingers through my hair while i applied conditioner because it was grossing me out how much hair came out. and I think less comes out when I use the comb because I'm not really pulling on it i guess? maybe that will help you

though I have a similiar ponytail holder situation going on. No way would I ever have been able to put one around 4 times a few years ago

dropdeadkate i love the picture on page 283 you posted with the different colored highlights of hair (i don't know how else to better describe it). i would suggest since your hair is long, find a happy medium when cutting it, give it a month and then decide if you want to go shorter. i often find when i make drastic decisions to my hair (like cutting off 8 inches in one sitting) i wish for my hair to grow back. maybe you can cut it to your shoulders with some fun layers and then decide if you want to go shorter. a lot of times if you talk with your stylist first and tell her you want to cut it short but are worried you might not like it, they'll probably let you come back in a few weeks if you want to go shorter for free or a small fee (i don't know how well you know your stylist).

Vix, I agree that dress is great! I think backless is the most tasteful way to show skin. It's easy to make sexy AND classy. You can also bring a formal black scarf to cover up if you start feeling uncomfortable

GoldenGirl I have tried those boots on soooo many times. The non-wide calf fits me perfectly and my mom really likes them but I'm on the fence about them because of how sloughy they are on me even though they are the first boot to just fit me perfectly

@ddk, short hair looks great on you! (I was commenting on the cut you posted- love it). If you leave a little more "wispy" hair around your ears to frame your face, it will give off a more feminine vibe. Plus you can get away with more extreme color combos with it short. I used to be a short-hair model for EnV salon in Apex- Renee did amazing things with cut and color

and cass - while that is an excellent idea and I have had the same hairdresser for years and she's actually a family friend........ I also tried to book an appointment with her in august and the soonest she could get me in was the end of october. so I either go for it, or I wimp out. I probably won't be able to just go back in a month if I want it shorter :/ though thats why i'm leaning towards the longer haircut (the one with the bright red dye) rather than the cut the copper colored hair woman actually has. Its short without being OMG SHORT.
