Just found out there is a chance my wife goes to Afghanistan for 1-3 months for her job. We're both kind of torn on whether she should commit to it if they pick her. The pay would be insanely good for the short period of time she is there...but it's still 12 hour days..in Afghanistan

RE: Afghanistan. I had an opportunity to go a couple years ago, the problem was that I would have had to commit to 12 straight months there and that time included when we planned to get married, go on our honeymoon, and take another trip I had planned with friends.

I would have cleared close to 4x my normal salary in the 12 month period but I decided not to do it. Had it been 6 months or something I might have considered it. I just wasn't sure if I felt like spending a year, and working the equivalent of two years during that period, just to make a lot of money.

I really think my wife will do it though if she gets picked for this assignment, even if it is 3 months. Even though we make good money, we are normally very frugal so if she does it we'll probably end up doing the floors, the counters, and taking a small trip instead of saving it so that is kind of an incentive haha

I'm frustrated and feeling discouraged today

Kinda pissed that I'm now being asked to pick up the Canada territory too...being asked to basically double my work load...which is already more than the majority of people in my office...and being told that I don't have a choice and I don't get a raise.
The only reason I am having to do this...because I'm the nicest person on the phone and Canada is new so they want someone who is really nice to be the first person that Canadians talk to...

which really sucks...cause I don't like Canadians


I also miss Will very much right now. This feeling could have a lot to do with the frustration I'm feeling from work, because all I wanted after this long day was to be able to come home and just snuggle with him and get one of his hugs...but I don't know when the next time I'll even get to see him will be and it makes me really sad.


And it's looking like I'm going to have to find another place to live soon...which is going to really suck, because I still don't have a car and this whole lack of money thing is about to kill me.


The one thing that would solve every single on of these problems is if I had money.

And it sucks, cause I just talked to him on the phone and he's in a frustrated mood right now too...because he left his phone in a friends car and he was stuck all day long with no phone and no car at his house...so he just got his phone and I could tell as soon as he answered he was pissed and he could tell something was wrong with me but then unfortunately neither one of us are in the mood to try to cheer the other one up.

And I'm jealous cause his sister and her boyfriend are going up there to see him this weekend...and I was checking flights and trains and buses to see if I could go up there on Friday and then ride back down with them but none of the ways to get up there are particularly affordable nor fit in with my schedule.

I just want a fucking hug.
