It was the school I interviewed with yesterday morning.

Went in at 9:30. They called my references that afternoon (and called my boss at work). Called me back a couple hours after they talked to my references. I'm hoping it's good news.

i would think if they were checking your references then it's good news, especially if the principal is calling you themselves. have you been dealing with a HR person or an assistant leading up to this point? i would think if the principal is calling you now and you hadn't been working with them previously on setting up the interviews and stuff then i would take it as good news

Yeah it was the book keeper that called me to set up the interview and it was the principal that called me back after the interview.

But then for all the other schools the principal or the assistant principal is the one who called me back.

Oh well, I'm off to my 3rd interview now. Just got done with one at 8 and off to my next one. But I've decided if this first school offers me a job I'm going to take it. I've actually heard a lot of good things about the principal.

I've gotten one job offer! I'm waiting to hear from another school first. If I don't hear from her before I have to leave for work though I'm going to call the first school back and accept the position.

Well the first school said that this was the first time they offered a position and it wasn't immediately accepted. And they said they were going to continue with the interviews they had lined up and blah blah blah. And honestly I would hate for them to give the job to someone else if I'm waiting to hear back from another school.

At least the principal called you back. When I got my TA job back in the day by the time I had left my interview they were talking to me like I had it. Well, 2 or so weeks pass and I don't hear anything, so I call up and I'm just like "Yeah, I hadn't heard from you..." so she was just "Oh yes we can't wait to have you! Here is the information you need blahblahblah" Luckily(?) nothing else had come through in the mean time so it worked out with that school. Hope you're good at making copies!
