yes, also blatantly obvious since the death of jonathan. i mean everytime he talked to her he brought up the senate seat. the whole time i figured he was pushing for it because he figured he could gain her trust and use her as a puppet in the senate. the way he's been talking to her is like someone would a child

New Episodes return March 30th...don't know reason. It hasn't been renewed for more seasons (this season is the end of its contract) however its rating are up from previous seasons...

I haven't watched Smallville in a while, so I didn't see this week's episode. Wow, what you just described sounds really shitty to me.

I really feel like this show wasn't suppose to have a very long lifespan (maybe only 3 seasons long), but that the writers have dragged its corpse along anyway. At this point they're just kicking at a dead horse. I say go ahead and have Lana find out about Clark's powers and have him leave.

this week's episode was a rerun of the 100th episode which was titled "reckoning"
basically they wanted you to think it was lana dying, then they reversed it using some bogus jor-el rabbit and hat trick and papa kent died. boohoo

tonight's episode was better than i thought it'd be. at first i thought it was going to be a cheap knock-off of Flatliners. next week's episode looks even better.

on a side note, i was watching superman III for the first time in over 10 years the other day and was surprised to see that the woman who plays clark's mom (annette o'toole) played lana lang in that movie. she really doesn't look much different considering that movie was done 23 years ago. it was a fun surprise to say the least heh.

lionel was riding in his limo when it suddenly stopped on train tracks locking him in. a strange guy in a mask appeared on him computer screen i believe and told him they were going to play a game. it was a game of hangman that he had to solve in order for the guy to unlock his doors, which he completed just in time. after accusing lex of being the perp, and deciding it wasn't him lionel brushed it off because these things have happened before. clark told martha that lionel knows his secret but they decided to go along as if nothing had happened to prevent lionel from knowing they found out. then lionel is drugged in his office by the same mystery guy and wakes up in a steel room next to a burnt corpse. its his former limo driver. he's then told he needs to balance a scale in front of him with flammable liquid in two buckets on either side for the door to open. meanwhile fire is building up under his feet. he gets out of this and in the next room martha has woken up in a large glass case that begins to fill up with water. he has to solve some word jumble on a board in order for her to be released. once freed, he and martha get in an elevator that should lead to the way out (after another game the stranger says). meanwhile clark and lex are working with chole to try and find them both. clark and lex arrive at an old apt. thats desserted but has a screen that lets them see lionel and martha in the elevator. there's a gun in a box and the captor tells lionel one of them must kill the other to go free, or else he will blow charges on the elevator cord in 2 minutes. chole finds out where they are tracing a sensor found in lionels office and tells clark who immediately runs to the rescue. even though lionel tries to kill himself, (the gun was empty) the stranger blows the charge on the elevator anyway. clark catches the elevator and saves both martha and lionel. lionel looks stunned and just walks away thanking clark as he does. later clark pays lionel a visit and tells him he still doesn't trust him. lionel calls him kal-el and claims to have known his secret since the stone from season 4 rendered him unconscious. clark threatens lionel to leave him and his mother alone and leaves. lionel walks over to his desk, then suddenly gets a massive headache. he starts to fall over and grabs a pen and pad and starts writing something very fast looking scared. then the credits roll and we're left hanging again
