I would say LT needs to be a top 6 RB for this to be worth it. Not sure if he will get there10/6/2008 11:07:51 PM |

Man fuck Peterson. Gah. I was down by 8 points coming in with Lance Moore and AP to go. Other guy had Meachem.

had to catch that halfback pass to score
but still managed only 16 yards to allow me to escape by the slimmest of margins

I'm #2 on the waiver order this week.
Anybody worth picking up?
I'm waiting for a big-name RB to go down. Buckhalter is gone and I already have Sproles. 10/7/2008 11:50:49 AM |

He's not playing this weekend. he's targeting week 8 as the return date. Given the Saints bye week in week 9, it wouldnt surprise me at all if they held him out until week 10.10/7/2008 12:46:00 PM |

yeah - just haven't seen consistency from either of them...they're my 3rd receiver behind TJH and Santana Moss, so I'm not expecting big things
also, is Brandon Jacobs going to have weeks more like this one or more like his first few? I benched him for slaton, and while slaton scored 3 less pts in my league, the Giants platooning is driving me nuts to the point I'm ready to go slaton full time over Jacobs 10/7/2008 7:17:57 PM |

Whats the name of the FF webpage that evaluates players against the opposing defense and shows it bar charts for all the weeks? Basically looks at strength of schedule for that specific player agaisnt upcoming teams...

i just traded braylon edwards and chris johnson for Housh
I was stacked at RB and had too many Browns players (Winslow at TE):
Jamal Lewis LT Forte Johnathon Stewart Chris Johnson 10/8/2008 9:14:45 AM |

I'm of the opinion that Maroney and Sammy Morris can suck it.
So Pick 1 RB: (AP is my No. 1)
Stewart vs. TB Chris Perry vs. NYJ
Pick 3 WR:
Coles vs. Cincy Randel El vs. St. Louis Lance Moore vs. Oakland Deion Branch vs. GB
I've got Coles, Randel El and Moore penciled in right now. Thoughts? 10/8/2008 9:36:09 AM |
Slave Famous Become Wrath 34079 Posts user info edit post |
Branch is more than likely out so...... the other 3 dudes
and I like Stewart over Perry, even with TB's solid defense
I think the Jets will go up big and force Cincy to throw
plus Benson will steal some of Perry's carries 10/8/2008 10:07:32 AM |

yeah, you'd probably be better off going to the waiver wire to find better WR/RB options 10/8/2008 10:10:32 AM |
Thecycle23 All American 5913 Posts user info edit post |
That's pretty much what I'm leaning. I picked up Branch before Sunday's game. I didn't play him, but he scored 6 points. Not bad for his first game back. And still better than lame-ass Lance Moore on Monday!
^ Aren't any better options. 12 team league, so WR talent is spread really thin.

dzags18 All American 5694 Posts user info edit post |
I'm still up in the air about him. If you can get a good deal then I think hes a risk worth taking, he was dominating last season before getting injured. I think he will continue to be a solid rb the rest of the year, but who knows if right now he isnt fully recovered from his injury and its just the formation that is abusing people. 10/8/2008 12:28:26 PM |
ndmetcal All American 9012 Posts user info edit post |
^I tend to agree. My goal in fantasy is to buy low & sell high. Can't see brown's stock getting much higher. On the other hand, it depends on what your team needs & if you can fill those needs via the trade (obviously ) 10/8/2008 12:53:01 PM |
jocristian All American 7527 Posts user info edit post |
If you don't already have brown from the draft or a smart trade, then you will probably have to give up too much to get him with all the hype around him now. I do think he is a solid top 10 and I would probably take him over LT and westbrook given their recent injury struggles. 10/8/2008 1:07:10 PM |

Ronnie Brown was THE BEST fantasy W/R last year before he got hurt...he's been a monster the last 2 seasons, WHEN HEALTHY...the only thing that could prevent Brown from doing well is injury, or a retarded coach giving Ricky Williams 25 carries a game 10/8/2008 1:12:12 PM |
