no he "undercut" him regarding his comments about academics, and "embarassed" him, which clearly made all the difference in 60 minutes of football

"I've been a loyal UNC football fan as long as I can remember, with pictures of me in diapers with UNC jerseys on, and I am now resigning my football fanhood.

I usually try to make 2-3 games a year in person, and never miss a game on TV. I am not an enormous Ram's Club member but I am active within alumni associations (GAA, etc). I'm not pretending to be vital to the athletic program.

But I am withdrawing my time. Time that can be used better (family, friends, etc) than caring about a program that cannot get out of its own way.

My freshman year was Mack Brown's last year, so I saw the peak of UNC football (maybe ever). But I've now had to sit through Torbush, Bunting, Davis, and now Withers and it's been nothing but one fiasco after another.

The ineptitude displayed yet again in Raleigh today has unsold the program to me. I no longer care about UNC football and will certainly no longer make an effort to watch.

I have a nine month old son but if he were of age and recruited by UNC football right now I would discourage him from playing in Chapel Hill. My alma mater, the alma mater of much of my family, and a school where I myself played for a varsity program.

It's sad. Good luck, Mr. AD. You're going to have to work hard to win me back to football.

Come on, Roy! It's basketball time!

Awww how sweet. We must finally be their rival!

I jokingly said after Butch was dumped days before the season we should have just forfeited the season.

After today, I wish we had.

GT game we should have won, but Shoop and awful clock management ruined that.
Miami? had that too, same ending.

Clemson? We were outmatched, and were very much in it at halftime... but decided we'd rather play solitaire on our computers in the second half.

Today? There is NO excuse for coming out flat, having no focus, and not beating State. They are, without question, the single biggest reason things were blown out of proportion and the NCAA even noticed us.

**** them and everything they care about. They wanted us to notice them. I notice, and I hate them. I hope they lose every game in every sport for eternity.

WHo was that UNC Tight End from the early 2000s who ran his mouth about beating us
3 straight years" and "they're not our rivals" BS?

They put his fat ass up on the Carter Finley scoreboard with that quote before one of the games.

I love IC

Just curious
Considering the way they manhandled our line today, does anybody think the Wupfies would pass a drug test? I give them props, even though the officiating was sketchy, I'm not blaming this on the refs. They just lined up and physically whipped our butts, much like SCar did 30 years ago. It turned out later the Cocks were on 'roids, IIRC, Tommy Chaiken from Aiken, etc.

Yeah our defensive linemen have been saving up all their roids for one game. If it's not a rivalry why is our game always viewed in a vacuum? That d line has been pretty bad all year.

So I asked a State friend of mine last week how the hell do you get shut out in a football game in this day and age with all these high powered offenses? I got my answer today.

Just got the lab results... Manning was on 200mg of Anovar, 10mg DECA, and 1G of Tren and Winny. He held off on an Epistane oral dosage.

It was great getting an extra hour to get blackout drunk last night.

We are still 63-32-6 against the inbreds, and they'd have to win the next 31 games straight just to tie us in the series.

Pretty sure TOBy paid off the refs to look the other way when they threw that BS flag against us for holding when it should have been a personal foul for a late hit that likely gave Renner his concussion. That was one of the dirtiest plays I have ever seen, and I think there should be an investigation to see whether he was headhunting, and if so, if he was instructed to do so.

We are still Tarheels, and they are woofpeckers and that fact alone makes us better than them in every single aspect of life from sports, to academics to being worthwhile people that make the world go round.

If we are on 'roids then we need to either up our dosage or find a new dealer...they haven't done anything for us all year.

I know it's been mentioned many times before...but this argument is so lame. Congrats UNC...prior to 1953 (start of ACC) you were ahead 31-5-6 in the series. In ACC play it's 32-27 in UNC's favor. And in the last 25 games State leads 13-12. No one gives a shit about how good your team was in the 1930s.

lets say hypothetically (since it wont happen) State wins the next 15 matchups in football, making the alltime series 63-47-6 in favor of UNC

would they really be like "63-47-6 rednecks, you gotta win 16 more games to tie the series" even though they had gotten beat the last 20 years?

Their "coaching search" is going to produce a LOT of quality quotes.

It is obvious to me there will be a house cleaning in Chapel Hill.My question is can Bubba begin contacting prospective coaches now though he is not on board til next Monday? There are going to be some decent jobs opening up soon (already Ole Miss) It concerns me that Malzahn and Kirby Smart will probably be approached about that opening.

My list of potential candidates would be as follows:
1. Urban Meyer---Most likely to Ohio State or Penn State. If he wants to coach he may wait for one of them to open up.
2.Petersen--Tough competetion perhaps from UCLA or other West Coast team.I'm afraid this is a real long shot.
3. Malzahn-- Ole Miss could be a threat, but a chance for us.
4. Sumlin--- Could be a real possibility
5 Graham-- A friend and known quantity to Bubba, but would he leave after one year?
6. Franklin-May be a long shot- but has done a decent job at Vanderbilt, but may not be the "big name"guy we need, but would probably make the academics happy.
7.Kirby Smart--Would be a real get,but doubt he would be interested.

These make up my list. Only Franklin on the list would cause me concern.I would be pleased with any of the top five.

LOL. Ask the few state fans with a brain and they would tell you that UNC was building something they couldn't compete with. TOB can barely make bowl games at ncst. Butch was consistently doing that and the recruiting advantages were well on their way to making a big difference.

Ahahahah
