Syracuse really changed the game when they extended their zone about halfway through the first half.

They were giving up a lot of good looks from 3, but the second they extended the zone Wisconsin panicked. Instead of getting open 3's they got a lot of open 15-18 footers. Not only could they not convert them, they started firing up shots that just looked downright out of rhythm which led to Syracuse transition.

Against a normal team if you extend the zone that much you are going to foul out your bigs, but Wisconsin was so un-athletic they couldn't even draw fouls or convert the layups that presented themselves.

It depends on what you're asking.

The goal is to win, so ultimately no it doesn't matter if you were good if you win.

But it's much easier to win if you are good.

Think about the teams that usually win the title, they are normally good. Last year was an exception.

2008 Kansas was good. 2009 UNC was good. Florida was good both of their years. 1992 Duke was good.

Normally good teams win. This isn't a correlation vs causation argument.

Wisconsin plays like they are playing soccer. Do nothing all game and then act like you played really good defense in your 1-0 loss.

teams who don't try to score deserve to lose. Never seen a team shoot that well and still lose. It's because they passed up good shots all game for bad ones.

Wisconsin plays like one of those fucking gay high school teams that holds the ball the entire first quarter. At the end of the quarter you come out of the game pissed off because you have 0 points, 0 rebounds and your stats are getting fucking ruined.

They are better than Syracuse, made every shot, and still lost the game.

Because they let Syracuse sucker them into shooting 2's and they passed up open 3's.

Then down at the end they played stall ball instead of making Syracuse make FT's or take good shots.

So i have a pretty big middle opportunity here.

I have Florida -6.5 and Marquette +10 due to some well placed 2nd half betting.

If Florida wins by 7, 8, or 9 I hit a nice score. I'll take 10 but considering how well things worked out to get me here I want to be greedy and win both sides.
