http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/23/tonight-on-ac360-voters-equal-pay-question-leads-to-smear-campaign/?hpt=ac_mid

Quote :
"Katherine Fenton had no idea she was going to be called on in the second presidential debate to ask a question. She also never predicted her question would prompt such a firestorm from conservatives.

Within minutes, her Facebook page and Twitter feed were raided by conservative bloggers and commentators looking to dig up anything they could on this 24-year-old pre-kindergarten teacher from Long Island, New York.

Why? Katherine Fenton’s question was about equal pay for women in the workplace. She asked President Obama and Governor Romney what they planned to do to rectify the situation. "

Quote :
"This is a young woman with a master’s degree, who teaches in Queens, New York. She actually comes from a family of conservatives, and is a registered Independent who voted for John McCain in 2008. She didn’t have any sort of agenda, she says, as some conservatives have suggested.

The thing about this is that Katherine is still uncommitted and unsure who she will vote for on November 6. She said the attacks from the right actually made her not want to align herself with them and pushed her closer to picking President Obama."

Bullshit.

Give me proof. Every fucking time a Repugnican gets caught, their slavish bootlickers say, "both sides do it".

It doesn't happen on both sides.

So is the rape gods will as well?

If so she better enjoy it because if its gods will it is not legitimate rape.

Dear Friends: There is less than 2 weeks until election day when the people will decide who will be the next President of the United States. The person elected will be the president of all Americans, not just the Democrats or the Republicans. It's time that we all need to
come together, Democrats and Republicans alike, In a bi-partisan effort for America :

If you will support Barack Obama, please drive with your headlights ON during the day.
If you support Mitt Romney, please drive with your headlights OFF at night.

Together, we can make
it happen. Thank you!

Yeah, if God controls the universe, and God knows everything that will happen all the time, ever, then it is obviously God's will.

God works in mysterious ways, etc...

A lot of people have been talking about facts in regards to both candidates. I'd like to share a fact. Rape, abortion rights and gay marriage will not fix the economy or reduce the deficit.

So? Does that mean they aren't things to be concerned about or have an opinion on?

A booming economy won't make discrimination/civil rights issues/institutionalized hate/etc. suddenly no big deal.

The economy and debt can be fixed and is within the scope of the Federal Gov't.

Argue all you want; rape, abortion, gays, hate and discrimination will never be fixed by Federal Gov't. Those are local and personal issues. You can make laws against them all you want and people will still do it. However, I think a booming economy leads to happier people which will lead to a more harmonious co-existence, which will lessen discrimination/civil rights issues/institutionalized hate/etc...

No, this is true.

Economic efficiency is the only underlying physical difference between today and the world pre-enlightenment. That mechanism is what enabled us to make progress with social issues. Perhaps someone thinks that we could have equal rights for women with only medieval technology. They would be wrong.

Economists also believe this statement on a smaller scale. The tech boom of the late 1990s caused labor prices to go up, and in some cases, companies were forced to go into poor communities, pay for their training, and hire them. The same argument can be made for the entirety of the developing world, but people tend to have trouble with that.

It's funny when conservative legislators focus so much on social issues and banning stuff and then complain that we aren't focused enough on the economy. Like in NC recently with a "womans right to know" bill and the amendment 1 referendum.

That video is a perfect example of a conservative legislator getting into people's private decisions rather than focusing on the economy.

I'm guilty by association? you think I'm a libtard? Why do you think that? Are you one of those people that assume that if you're not a right-wing conservative, then you gotta be a nasty, no-good [i]liberal[b]? I think you're a joke.

(i realized that both sides do it, but if they jumped off a bridge, would you?)

I'll call Romney RMoney or mittens, and you know why its different? As far as I know, I've never pretended to be a presidential candidate while having multiple national press conferences to draw attention to myself.
