the bulls are the key place...anywhere else and I dont think he will fit in well.

With Rose being a fragile guy...it is very interesting.

Could be a GREAT team and fav in the east if Melo goes to the bulls

So where does Lebron play next year? In Miami with Wade and Bosh? In Phoenix? Or back in Cleveland with Kyrie and Kevin Love

That McBob to Miami signing is surely the missing piece, Lebron is probably signing his deal as we speak.

So let's say the following, somewhat realistic, events happen:

Melo joins the Lakers.
Bosh joins the Rockets.
Lebron joins the Suns.
Pau joins the Thunder.

The East would be pathetically bad next season, haha.

(note: no way Lebron actually leaves the East)

I'm curious as to whether Riley is telling these guys signing that Lebron coming back is a sure thing. Miami could turn into a dumpster fire real quick if Lebron bolts, I wouldn't be locking in the years in that case like McBob did.

They recruit those guys to convince Lebron.
For Mcrob, Heat is still a better choice for him even without lebron.

I might have done 6 for 3 years, but by the time that 4th year rolled around it would probably be a bad contract. I want to keep our cap flexibility too.

The big 3 may split. Bosh has started to contact houston who give him a big contract.

Cavs salary dumped a few guys to clear enough cap space for a possible max offer. Now, rumors are they're interested in Ray Allen & Mike Miller.

I'm almost starting to believe this lebron to cleveland thing, only major issue for me is can lebron play with a great point guard, that's always been a question with him

Lebron wants to follow Jordan to return to his hometown.
Riley will meet with him today in Vegas!

If Ray has contacted with Cleverland, I really believe that Lebron will go back home. Because Ray says he will follow Lebron. It's likely that Ray talked with Cleverland, not Cleverland wants to take Ray.

No matter what, it looks like big 3 will split.

When has that ever been a question with him?? Is it only because he's never had a decent point guard?

Lebron, Irving, Ray, Miller, Anderson Varejao, Luol Deng

That's a good team.

^^^^because he has to dominate the ball to do what he does and he acts like a de facto point guard a lot of the time anyway, mo williams was the ideal compliment to him because he could play off lebron and shoot well

He wasn't ball dominant in his first year with Miami (Wade was)...and had a great year.

Early in his career in Cleveland he wasn't ball dominant either.

Yes...he's thrived when he's been the main ball-handler because he's great at it. But I don't think that means he can't play with a great point guard.

He wants ppl to know that he's not another Jordan because he can pass. He considers himself as Messi on the basketball court.

If I were Lebron, I would've told my agent to tell GS to move Lee, Barnes & scrub bench guys to Philly (who needs to reach the salary floor anyway) for a protected 2nd rounder that's so protected Philly wouldn't lose it, so Philly gets a guy like Barnes who will be a restricted FA when his contract is up so they can keep him as part of their young core if they wanted. That way Lebron could've signed a near max deal (like 1-1.5M away) with the Ws and be surrounded with shooters like Curry & Klay, a jack of all trades guy in Iggy, a big man that rebounds & plays D in Bogut & they'd still have Green & Speights to come off the bench, most/all of their future draft picks, and the mid-level exception to use to bring in another key bench player

The main issue Lebron concerning is probably which team can bring him the next championship. Two is certainly not enough for him.

Media wants to make Decision 2.0 as fun as possible.

The chain is like this: lebron to Cleverland-->bosh to houston-->jeremy lin to Philadelphia

Jeremy Lin: fuck u lebron

this is a clever game of chicken. lebron/melo waiting to see if bosh will cave in and take the max contract with houston, then melo comes to miami.

From the sounds of it, Melo gets around $129M in NYC, only $65M in Chichago, and around $95M LA. Seemed like NYC and LA are the only viable options because leaving double the amount of money on the table that Chicago is able to offer is harsh.

Chicago can pay more than that if it clears some more salary. This scenario outlines a deal around $84 million WITHOUT trading Boozer (using the amnesty instead):

At that, what will be left for the team. I mean yea they will have Noah and Rose, but how much will be left on the bench? How depleted would the team be? Are they still a championship team with just a core 3 and a skeleton bench (ie what was Miami's problem this year)?

Melo wants champ. So chicago is a good place for him. Unless Phil Jackson can get someone to help him.
