It's a great place for costume party attire since you can only wear it a couple of times. I got a sequin, blue, one-sleeve minidress there for $3 to wear to a costume party. Was afraid that there would be a wardrobe malfunction at any moment.

Best to spend more and not moon an entire party bc your dress came apart.

depending on whose party it is, i might not be opposed to mooning everyone.

What's on your Christmas list?

My husband's family does a secret santa gift exchange with a $50 limit. My sisters-in-law have online wish lists, but I have no idea what to ask for. I'm one of those people that prefers gift cards or cash because if there's something I really want, I go ahead and buy it rather than waiting for Christmas/birthday, especially since they are close together. I would prefer the holidays without a gift exchange.

i like to read so gift card for me to buy books for my ereader or for apps for my ipad/iphone

id also like one of those belkin things you plug in. there are different kinds....like one you can program to shut the power off after x hours and another monitors your power draw for whatever is plugged in

im also getting toward needing a new laptop but i'd take a new battery to get me through the next year or two

I have a lot of things on my Christmas list, because we just moved, and I want stuff for my new yard!!

Birdhouse, bird bath, etc., woodworking tools (circular saw, orbital sander, router, etc.), tickets to Les Miserables in February, gift certs for a spa day/massage, the green coat posted a few pages back, my husband to make me an entryway bench/shelf combo and horizontal bookcases for the bonus room, a basket for potatoes and onions, tickets to events like symphony concerts or art museums. The only *thing* I want is the coat, which I'm iffy about anyways. I want to declutter my house. Everything else I either want to be an experience related gift, or something I can use to make other things or put in the yard. I wouldn't mind a TV though, ours is old and heavy.

Ugh. I spent this morning shopping for new clothes, but I couldn't find anything that worked for me. I'm very disproportionate. Short, narrow shoulders, bigger boobs, fat ass, and mommy belly. When I was heavier, I just bought baggy plus sizes. Now, I'm down a little over 50 pounds and want to wear something a little more fitted and structured. I feel better about my body and I know that baggy clothes just make you look larger. Unfortunately, everything that I tried on today looked pretty crummy. The petite sizes didn't really handle my large ass and thighs, but the regular sizes were way too long. It was incredibly depressing.

Summary: Troll-like body. Shopping a disaster.

I'm afraid that's what I'm going to have to do. I just feel silly spending even MORE money to have the clothes altered after buying them.

so i just tried out the wen stuff for the first time. i have the sweet almond mint kind. it smells good, but not overpowering. theres a little bit of a tingle but not liek WHOA. it was nice.

i will say you have to use A LOT of product. like i ahve no hair and had to use like 5 pumps of the stuff. it doesnt' lather or anything its just like putting lotion on your hair. weird.

hair is still wet. it feels clean (i put lots of gel and stuff in it for texture) so that's good. as for conditioning...... well it just .... doesn't. feelsl ike i shampooed and didn't condition. then again i havent let it dry totally so who know.

tl;dr: used wen. smells good. some tingle. must use a lot. feels like shampoo no conditioner

edit: nvm you're supposed to put some more of it back in and not rinse it out. leave in conditioner style.

so... may hair is dry. it feels like straw. wtf. maybe it's bc i slept on it. don't care. $30 for results shittier than the suave professionals i had been using? i don't fucking think so

sending back. the internet reviews lied to me.

That sucks Kate. Just make sure you completely cancel your subscription otherwise you will continue to get the product over and over again.

For Christmas I want a new pair of awesome jeans....my favorites I have so much they have rubbed holes in the thighs. To keep it not overly expensive, I have told the hubs I want GC's to Buckle. That way I can try them on and get what I want.

I also want a puppy or kitten but that is feasible

yeah, I was not impressed by WEN

I have really thick hair and had to use like 4-5 pumps and it just made my hair feel really greasy

Apparently my mom got me the one that was supposed to be for "Asian hair" but it just didn't cut it

I'll say the same to him too.
But for you...Kick him in the face and tell his hungover ass to suck it the fuck up! you're in the dominican!

Pending his continued refusal (jerk for getting too wasted)...go to the beach; tell him you're going to the topless section and you'll reenact along came polly with the scuba instructor unless he's out there in an hour.

Aw. I was given some paper denim & cloth jeans a few years ago and I absolutely loved them. I stupidly wore them out to the barn, and long story short, ripped both of the knees out (actually, only one, which is a huge surprise).

So I got excited when I saw them on ideeli for a price I could afford! I got them today. Very unhappy..

Old jeans were Made in USA, nice thick denim, good seam quality. These? Made in PRC (sneaky way of not saying Made in China), really thin, already see one pulled seam thread.

Sadface..

Could be the style of Paper Denim

Alot of theirs are super thin, but they do have some styles made from the thicker material

ugh. words can not describe how upset i am about this whole wen experience. started out dry as straw. back home and it looks like my hair has been sprayed down with pam. disgusting.

went to tjmaxx and picked up some giovanni 50:50. it's organic and the only shampoo i could find with no sulfates in it (yea.i read ALL the labels. took forever)

heres to hoping my hair will go back to normal after i wash the wen the fuck out of my head. IF HOWLERS WERE IRL THEY WOULD SO BE GETTING ONE

All this talk about shampoo itt and now a report of certain chemicals in baby products that aren't the safest ever, I've been drawn to a cosmetics database. Reading some of your comments and having scalp issues of my own, I'm realizing it is definitely product related. Scoping out some of my products, finding lots of sulfates!

Time to do some more research on this and baby products as well...gonna make some changes in our bathroom.

i hate to admit this but i tried on a pair of Bobs (the Rack Room version of Toms) and they were extremely cute on...

even though i think they are hideous looking in general...

which is odd...

they were the same price as the Toms so I may just order the real deal at some point...if I can decide which ones I would want...

My Love is Art painting is ready to hang! I get to go pick it up in an hour. I didn't end up taking it to a store. I found an artist who was willing to do it for supplies + $10 an hour. So, ended up being $40 total. I offered her more, but she was content with that price, and I was happy I didn't try and do it myself, cause that could have been disastrous. Can't wait to see what it looks like!

For anyone else who bought one of these, don't try to remove the sticker on the back. It's so adhesive that it tore part of the canvas trying to get it off.
