I just refactored some code, and here are the results:

Added 73 lines of code which ultimately resulted in the removal of 266 lines of code.
An upcoming change that I am working on required a little change, so now I've added 105 lines of code, but that removed an additional 330 lines for a grand total of almost 600 lines of code.

The end result? What was taking 581 lines is now done in 13 lines of code.

two nights ago I woke up in the middle of the night and puked so much my nose started bleeding. I brushed my teeth and went to bed. Woke up, still smelled vomit. Showered, brushed my teeth. It has now been 2 days and I still smell vomit. I think I'm going to have to flush my sinuses... I am not looking forward to this.

maybe I'm not good at this whole birthday thing. This morning I was surprised with a gift (a book) for me from the birthday boy when he stopped by to drop off a cooler for me to use. He's always so sweet and all I'm giving him for his birthday is a hand made card and home made chocolate covered pretzels. maybe I'm too cheap, but I thought it was sweet

I am. I work for a very small nonprofit and I get paid with smiles and a little money for rent and food.

He loves some white chocolate covered pretzels. I mean every candy store he goes to that's what he looks for. So I splurged on some nice white chocolate to melt and the best pretzels I could find and I'm going to add some cookie crumbles to make it cookies and cream flavored. And his card is a little 4 page "story" book I made about the avengers that you flip around and theres another little story I thought it was cute. Now I'm all worried. The gift he got me was a book written by Caitlin Moran, who I just love and quote all the time, he's so awesome.


I also planned us a night in the city and on Sunday I planned for us to go kayaking up in Bushkill. (things he pays for though )
