Swinkle, I chose this one for you because it's "paleo-friendly" too. Lumpia is just fried spring rolls.The wrapper is very different from what you get at a chinese place though. So much better! You can fill them with anything, but it's usually with ground pork and some veggies. Food porn:



It's an adobo recipe, you can use chicken( dark meat more flavor obviously) or pork shortribs. So many variations of this dish, but this is one I know. We eyeball everything, so these measurements will be a guess.

1/4c white sugar
1tbs soy sauce
2 large garlic clove
1/2 tsp salt( add more if needed)
1-2 cup water
2 thick slices of ginger
4-6 hard boiled eggs
choice of meat
1 tsp black pepper
pork belly ( cut into cubes)

At low heat, add soy sauce and white sugar until golden brown, almost to burnt. After browning, add garlic, pepper, and salt( if you think you need it). Add your meat and pork belly to the pot. Cook the meat until brown. Add ginger and eggs. Finally add water, cover pot at low heat, and let entire thing cook to fork tender ( 1hr I think).

Anyone know what the word docent is without looking it up?

Example: the museum offers docent-led tours on Tuesdays

I was with a group of 5 people & was the only one who knew the word. I found it hard to believe.

anyway, why is it so hard to cut someone out of my life when i know he is so, so, soooo bad for me?? i have had this up and down relationship with this guy and he keeps begging me to come back then dumping me, it has happened like 3 times now. last time he did some really bad stuff so i blocked his number but he found an app to get around it. it is obvious he wants to have someone to be there for and care about him but still lead his single life, so everytime he knows he is about to lose me he freaks and begs for me to come back. i NEED to be strong tdub, and ignore him next time it happens. but i am so weak.

also i just upgraded from the oldest phone ever to an iphone and i have no idea how to use it or what apps to download. i have downloaded a flashlight, pandora, and some wikipedia thing. what else? any good free GPS apps?

Swinkle, first you need to find a wrapper like these. You can prepare a bunch of these and they freeze well, just pull out and fry them!

For the breakfast lumpia filling I mixed together:

country sausage
1 c scrambled eggs
1/2 c frozen spinach(drained)
half small yellow onion
1tsp crushed red pepper and fennel seeds
1tsp white pepper
1/2 c mild cheddar cheese
1/2 c grated white potatoes
