Charity or not, I can't justify paying that much for 3 miles, and for a t-shirt. You're paying for the t-shirt($20-25) anyway.

I guess I am just heartless.

Idk I think the color run looks fun. maybe not $60 fun but I am poor.

also, from the site
Quote :
"Do you donate to a charity or cause?
YES, we do. One of our greatest visions for the Color Run is bringing fun, memories, and fundraising to local communities. We select a different local organization for each city. To see the specific charity we use for each city, check out the location’s race page."

I think it wont stain your face but it still stains her hands every time she uses her waterbottle running because of sweat/wetness transfer

The only charity that I've been involved with and I find worthy is http://www.girlsontherun.org/

I was a volunteer coach, but I didn't have to pay for the 5K.

My bad I didn't know organizations got discounts at the press.

$20-25 is what t-shirts costs normally, though right?

My opinion still stands on paying $50 or more to run 3 miles when you can do it at the park.

"event runs" like the Warrior Dash and the Color Run are for the experience, that's what you are paying for.

Other 5ks (and other distances) usually benefit someone or a group, etc. So depending on the cause, I don't mind putting up some cash. It's not about the running, it's about having fun and supporting a cause.

I am also affiliated with Girls on the Run! I am on the fundraising committee.

And t-shirts are never, never $20-25. Unless they are Brooks brand or a super-nice quality.

(also, the Color run apparently does donate to a local charity of the city they do the races in)

Occasionally a wedding comes along and it reminds me why we're no longer friends.

Then I remember that one time you called my mom a cunt and I'm reminded of the bigger picture as to why we're no longer friends.

^^does your place of employment have a "lactation room"

i just realized what this room was, its got a nice comfy recliner in it and supposedly nursing women can go in there and fill up the bottles or whatever.

craziness, is this normal?

the Wellness Room has the couch, but it also has a table and chairs, so it can be used for pretty much anything. yes, that will be used as the lactation room if a nursing mama needs to use it as such. it does have a lock on the door

and i dunno about "normal" to have a specific room for nursing moms, but it's becoming the norm to have a room to sorta chillax in, that can also be used for nursing.

this room is probably 12' x 12' at best. no windows, and a solid door that locks. i guess you can go in there and chillax at the table or on the couch with a couple people if you wanted to.

I think by law, offices must offer some sort of private room/area for breastfeeding.

BuyBuyBaby has a breastfeeding room. You're supposed to knock before you go in if the door is closed.
