Someone was talking about how many miles they put on their car per year today and it got me thinking. Both my car and my wife's car have ~135,000 miles on them but we only average about 6-7k per year on each car, which was significantly below what most people were saying they put on their cars.

Anyway, I'm really hoping we will have these cars for many years to come. They were both acquired used at really great deals and we've had them paid off for a long time (7 on mine and 5 on hers). Here's to hoping we get another decade on our cars, and more importantly another decade with no car payments

There was a school shooting in Baltimore (LOL Baltimore) yesterday on the first day of classes. A good friend of mine and neighbor in college was the teacher that tackled the shooter and wrestled with him to subdue him. The kid brought a shotgun to school. Hit one student who is in critical condition and got another shot off that didn't hit anyone while they were wrestling. My dude is a hero today. His facebook is blowing up.
