"^^that sounds awesome. how was that trip in terms of itinerary/stops/price? did you make a thread about it?"

It was very awesome. I did not make a thread though because I figured not enough people would care but it was one of the best vacations I have done.

This is the route we took:

It has all the "stops" noted on it. Although most of the stops were short stops - literally in the 5 minute range. So it's not like layovers in an airport or anything. You were moving 95% of the time.

For a very short summary:
My wife and I went with another married couple and then one of my best guy friends. (We're all close friends so it wasn't awkward or anything).
1) flew into Chicago and spent about 1.5 days there. Caught the Amtrak at Union Station around 2pm
2) Stayed on the train until 8am the next morning when we got off in Denver
3) We then spent 24 hours in Denver just crawling city
4) Caught the train in Denver at 8am the next day and took it to Reno, NV which was 24 hours on the train,
5) Got off in Reno and rented a car to take to Tahoe. Spent the day and early evening through dinner up there at the lake. Part on a boat, part fishing, part walking around. Went back to Reno at night and stopped at a few casinos (we stayed at Harrahs) before crashing.
6) Caught the train again in Reno at 8am and took it to Emeryville, CA (arrived around 3pm). Took a bus into San Francisco from there.
7) Spent 2 days in San Fran exploring the city as well as renting a car to drive across the golden gate bridge and visit a redwood forest at Muir Woods.
8) Took a train to San Jose and spent the morning there and then flew back home.

Train tickets were $300something per person (the fewer times you get off and back on it is cheaper..but it was much more fun to get off in Denver and Reno than take it straight from Chicago to SF). I had never taken a train here before, but it was pretty nice. We spent most of our time in the glass sightseeing/lounge car playing cards, listening to music, and taking pics of the scenery.

The cabinet and the pin we are talking about are different things.

Kelly I'm talking about the flip flops. Same board as the punchy hearts.

Does anyone get why I posted the cabinet? It has nothing to do with the other discussion but I saw it and didn't want to double post.

lol I just thought I remembered in kindergarten that red, yellow, and blue were primary colors. Since the chest looked like something for a kid I just thought of that.

Red, yellow and blue are primary colors of pigments. Green is secondary made from combining yellow and blue

Thanks

It's just that today I had to talk to someone about terminating for OI type III, someone else's baby most likely has trisomy 18, and the last call was to let one of our patients know her baby for sure has rhizomelic chondrodysplasia punctata. Aka... Her baby is going to die. It sucked.
