I used to see that kid almost 3 times a week one semester in like 2001? I think because we drove in for afternoon classes and somehow always parked next to each other. He drove the short 318 series (an It?) and always dressed really nicely. Looked like a friendly dude.

My family is actualy friends with the guys family (Wes). Well, friends of friends I guess.... When I was a lot younger we actually went over there a few times

I went to the same high school as them both

I can tell you where they're from, both of their last names, what high school they went to, and what happened to them after the porn incident. If I had my yearbooks, you'd see them in there. I was about 4 years behind them... They're both my brother's age, which is 4 years ahead of me, so they would have been seniors at my H.S. when I was a freshman..and would have graduated in 1999

Hell, my brother's roomate in UT had an older brother who also lived in UT. He's the one that put the video on the UT web from what I understand. (I said we were all from the same hometown.... they were all friends with Wes' roomate but hated Wes. They were looking on his computer and found it one day when he was gone. Just to be funny, they decided to put in on the UT network. From what my brother said it was only on there for about 15 minutes... but someone got it)

As far as your mythology surrounding it... most of that is true. The only thing I can't vouch for is that she cut her hair off and died it blonde. She did transfer, both becuase of her parents and personal wishes... I know she became suicidal after all of it. I'm not sure where she ended up, but she did try to sue Wes...unsuccessfully. She tried to prove he released the video purposefully, when actually Wes wasn't the one that did it at all. She also couldn't prove that he videotaped her without her knowledge. She looks into the camera quite a bit in the video and seems to know it's there.

They were given a standing ovation in the dining hall about 2-3 days after it was released and word got around

Wes did finish at NC State and got his degree... like i said, not sure where heather went off to.

I believe Wes' family has moved from my hometown. Whether or not it's becuase of this, I have no idea (My best friend goes to his church, and said he'd moved)

Look at any of the old UT porn threads. If I've posted in there... I guarantee you I've said this same thing.

I remember her being a brunette several months after it happened, so I doubt she did this before she transferred. She would have been an ugly blonde.

I remember that her and the dude were together for a while after the video got out. Once I was walking behind them to class, and when they were crossing Dan Allen a truck pulls up and somebody says "YOU THE MAN DOGGG!" all sarcastic as shit. They didn't laugh.

I don't know to what extent. My brother just kind of said she had to see a shrink and became really depressed and suicidal all of the time.

I don't find it so suprising. Not because of the video itself but because of the continuous harassment she recieved at school following the film and the massive number of stories, posters, etc. that emerged following the incident. That simply can't be good for an individual's psyche.
