Any advise on my Wideouts? I am starting these 2 obviously... R. Moss D. Driver
I need one more from these three L. Fitzgerald M. Robinson C. Rodgers (Det)
I am leaning towards Fitzgerald because they are playing NYG, but Culpepper is going to spread the ball around, and someone has to catch it. 9/11/2005 11:20:18 AM |

Fitz is a safe pick, gonna get a lot of looks, Robinson will get some looks but they have so much distribution you never know who will get the TD's.
McNabb or Bulger?
Mason or Kennison?
I have a couple of games with auto-drafts, and I am stuck with Jet's D in both of them, so I had to get rid of them, I can't have them going against KC at KC. So I was looking at Denver, Cincy, or Stl. All of the best D's are going up against good O's this week so it's a pretty rough week. 9/11/2005 11:41:30 AM |

davis all the way and can anyone for cleveland cincy even get the ball to housh? (same reason i look down on muhammed this year with chicago)
my bad...i would still go with davis....by the end of the year housh may be a great guy to have, but i would go with a top tier rb until palmer gets into a groove

I'm fucked for the day. ESPN won't let me drop a player off my bench if they've already started their game for the week, so I'm still stuck with Eli as my only QB.
And I was too late to get Gates replaced as my TE for the day too, so that's an automatic zero for one of my starters.

I feel pretty good about starting Willie Parker over Domanick Davis and Deion Branch over Drew Bennett right now.
I mean I could have started Cadillac over Lamont Jordan I guess, but my team won by 60 so that might have been overkill. 9/12/2005 4:25:31 AM |

By the way anyone who drafted Culpepper in round 1 or 2 this year has made an excrutiating mistake.
He is a turnover princess and now he doesnt even have Moss to pump his stats.
Why on earth you'd take a QB early this year when there were like 15+ viable starters was beyond me anyway 9/12/2005 9:48:54 AM |

culpepper was my first pick #7.... that hurt yesterday

i took culpepper with the number 10 or 11 pick and i don't feel bad about it...all of the premium running backs had been sucked up by then anyway. i got jamal lewis and brian westbrook there anyway, but i got hammered this week...the guy i was up against had the most points of anyone.
he had K. Collins, T. Holt, J. Horn, M. Muhammad, P. Holmes, T. Barber, J. Shockey, K. Barlow, R. Longwell, and Tampa Bay
jamal lewis and m. bennett were out there on one leg and carolina's defense sucked a big one too... 9/12/2005 10:15:21 AM |

I want to pick up a scrub QB for one week because I can't really trust either of those guys to produce, but the best QB available right now is Trent Dilfer. 9/13/2005 6:20:32 PM |

Why would anyone draft Vick as their starting fantasy QB? 9/13/2005 8:44:22 PM |
rallydurham Suspended 11317 Posts user info edit post |
^ Because he's one of the top 10 fantasy QB's??
Now why anyone would take him in the 4th round is beyond me.
I mean I waited until the 8th round and got Bulger.
If you play in a normal scoring league and took any QB that wasn't named Peyton Manning in the first three rounds you screwed up.
And just to brag my team put up 30 more points than any other team in my league last week thanks to Bulger, Dillon, Parker, Branch, Pitt D, and Wilkins...

^^Vick was not one of the top-10 fantasy QB's last year, and its not likely that he will be this year either. He is good at winning games, but his stats are shitty for fantasy fb scoring.
Yahoo ffb had him as the 13th highest scoring QB last year. Judging from last night, I don't see that changing for the better this year. 9/14/2005 4:03:53 AM |
rallydurham Suspended 11317 Posts user info edit post |
^ ESPN had him ranked #12 best QB last year.
Allow me to point out that he did not play the final two games of the regular season, so in Weeks 1-15 he was ranked a top ten QB.
He can not help the fact that he is so good that his team locked up the #2 seed with two weeks remaining.
If as a fantasy owner you knew Vick was not going to play going into the games you would not start him. Therefore it is fair to add the points of the player you replaced Vick with to his total when thinking in terms of fantasy.
Had Vick left two games in the middle due to injury, then no compensation would be given. 9/14/2005 12:47:42 PM |
Fuel All American 7016 Posts user info edit post |
excuses, excuses. He won't finish in the top 10 this year either, because he doesn't put up good stats. There is really no reason to have Vick as a starting QB in a fantasy league unless it is very big or has multiple starting QB's. 9/14/2005 8:48:38 PM |
