id never really seen him talk or anything. most of what i had seen was in print media. it made him seem more likable, at minimum, since he didnt seem like a creepy old politician.

that said, it still looked like he was throwing every excuse in the book out there.

so the inverview with marylands 4th was def my favorite.

with such classics as, "well they could not vot, and we already tried that for a few hundred years."

my favorite was the one out of Cali:

"How do you say 'I took money from Jack Abramoff in Spanish?"

"Tome el dinero de Jack Abramoff"

"Why did you do it?"

"That was just a translation."

"English or Spanish, Congresswoman, it's all the same."

for everyone who is wondering, the interviews are entirely staged, in the sense that, like the daily show for the most part, the subject knows he's going to be fucked with and to not take anything extremely seriously. they dont come on expecting to be able to make a case or get a message out as some of you seem to believe...

actually, while most of the interview is just joking, about 20% consists of them actually on a monologue, talkin about whats important to them

they arent 'staged' either. the interviewers come with quetions, thats what the normal ones do too. there is no script. only rarely do they go into a full on skit.

I think it was when Colbert mentioned Iraq's government:

It was along the lines of

"We both believe that the government that governs best governs least. After all, look at the Iraqi government."
