yea we have certainly done that with this one, we have the 400 that originally came in it out and replaced it with a 400 that is built to high heaven...sucker will put down some hp never actually gotten it tested though but sure its well over 350 in the low 400 range and a limited slip rear...baby can get down i love her to death

the thing would BURN a tire down but wouldn't really go anywhere after that

look for a 396 or a 427 they're the most fun to drive ...


one of the 427 ones i've driven had big ole side pipes and that thing was soo fun just cause it sounded oooof.... perfect and had soooo much power its not even funny.

i actually have two 75s and one still has the 350 in it, we put side pipes on it with a flame throwin exhaust just for kicks, its fun to hear and see but def. doesnt go anywhere quickly. its for sure a looker though, might get out the digi cam soon and take some pics

i hope you are kidding with both of those statements b/c the only big blocks installed in 60's vettes were:
'65 ==> 396 (which you could actually get fuel injected)
'66 - '69 ==> 427
the only put 454's in the '70 - '74 models

there were only 44 '83 models made. 43 were crash tested. And the only surviving one is in the NCM.
clearly none were released to the public.

well i was over their heads watching everything they did, i know enough about cars to be able to work on them, i mean i could of done it myself but i dont have the machine.

before i got to them i changed my oil, spark plus, wires, air filter, etc.. and i told them i did so that they wont say shiiit like you need an oil change or some shit like that and so they would know what the hell iam talking about if they try to rip me off...

but it was pathetic!

The only reason i go to wal-mart auto center is to get tires...even then with my first car (the altima) I told them to watch out there were neon lights under the car, and so i left..came back and there they were one of em was busted..ended up taking 25 bucks off my ticket...but that sucked!

if this is in regards to DSMs, the NA models have the Neon engine, not the 4g63. It's stupid as hell to try to turbo an NA one. Sell it to some highschool girl and buy a GSX/TSi AWD.


and i don't really understand the point of a V6 Mustang. The only point of a Mustang/Camaro is to have a lot of power for not much money with the V8 model. Other than that, they aren't really good for anything. Take away the V8, and you're left with a car that isn't as good at anything as some other stuff that you could get for the same price.

i know a couple people w/ turbo ones that will spank most v8s

Duke, the 2nd Gens had the 420A from the neon, but the first gens had a higher compression, non-turbo 4G63 (or a dinky 1.8 SOHC). There are lots of people who buy 1st Gen GS's and try to adapt the hardware from the GST and GSX. I mean it works, just not as well and ends up costing a lot more when all is said and done. My car hasn't run in months, so no entertaining comments to post.
