wait so the concept of the program is to have to scan your notes INTO the PC or type your notes into a PC... this doesn't seem like it would work very well in anything other than a humanities class...

as far as "searchable notes"... its called taking good notes, and writting the most critical formula's on the back side of the page next to it... makes searching things O(logN)

and who the hell would want a PRIUS... I guess I could sell it and get something worth driving...

yes you can type or scan in your notes. However, you can use this program for anything you want besides class notes. It is actually really nice for projects. There are plenty of features that would be worth looking at if you actually wanted to see what it can do.

I have this program called Notepad, maybe you've heard of it. It lets you type things in a simple format. Its pretty cool, and my copy is open source.

We did not just get our paychecks The Coz, but thanks you everyone on TWW, we have nearly gotten our quota just from tww alone, which puts us well above the goal that was needed.

For those that still want to talk trash to a free program. I feel sorry for you. Thats why this is free, so you can try it and then make your decision to delete it immediately or to keep it. There is no sense in putting down something that many hundreds of people tried and enjoyed. If you still would rather live in the past and use another program, that is fine, but you will see that OneNote has plenty to offer that is very useful to many needs for the common student.

As for Greg listing those people that "got owned," it is because they tried to get him suspended for making a post just like this and it wont work. Some of those people of the list tried to do childish things to make us mad, but it doesnt work, because I can keep doing my job and letting people download the free program.

^^ and no the MP3 player is not an ipod, because ipods are made by apple. There is also xbox306's and tablet PC's, and the toyota prius that microsoft has been giving away tho. Also I will restate that me and greg have an xbox360 http://www.brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=367034 that we are giving to an NCSU student, since microsofts prizes are for all 50 colleges.

i downloaded wmp10 onto my mac and it 1)didn't work, 2)started screwing up my sound controls, and 3)didn't have an uninstall program. i had to go searching all over the internet to find code to type into "terminal" to get rid of it.

My Mac has similar software that came with Word. Its ok, I prefer to use plain word to outline. I never typed anything for undergrad.


Look at the bottom left of the screen in word and click on the piece of paper in the view options.
