If you say Young (who is clearly an incredible player ) could have better numbers if they left him in games, you have to keep in mind that white has had only like 10 less carries than bush on the year...

The Pac-10 Defenses look worse after USC puts up about 600 yards a game and 50 points. I mean the great offenses in the Pac-10, which are WAY better than the Big 12, put up a lot of yards and points which makes the conference teams look worse on defense.

Lame counter argument. You can say the same thing about the Pac 10. Their offenses Look so good, b/c they play absolutely no defense. Atleast in the Big 12, the defeses are ranked (colorado, texas).

I just want someone to tell me who has USC beat this year, with a defense that is ranked high in any category? None can do it, b/c they have not played any teams who have good d's. Texas has crushed to great d's (ohio state, and colorado) and they beat Tex A&M who has a really good d. Point & Case.

Its better if you put op alot of points on a ranked d(70 against colarado), than alot of points on an unranked d, uuummmmm durrr Fresno State hey guys ummmm Ucla. And 25 pts against Ohio State is better than anything USC has done THIS YEAR. Keep in mind that Ohio State only allowed that to happen twice this year, minesotta, tex-the only two loses they have.

USC has played no great defenses. It's even hard to call any of the defenses they played "good".

Texas has played one great defense (OSU), and a number of good defenses.

Bush may have the edge, but it's silly to try to argue that USC has put up those numbers against better defenses, or that the Pac-10 is a defensive league.

that may be true, but if they can put you in position to break tackles by throwing the defenders' balance off or putting them at bad angles, then it makes it a whole lot easier to break tackles.

Thats the point. People don't see that he dosn't break tackles or create holes like a TRUE Rb should. He runs behind the fuckn fantastic five and normally has 1 guy to beat or hurdle. Thats why he won't be successful in the next level at the Rb position. He's going to a sorry ass team with no O-line. He will be better off at reciever and utility.

I don't see him becoming a potential bruiser like caddy or Lt

i'm not saying that Bush is a horrible player, but I am saying that its hard to judge how great of a player he is when he has other things working for him that the average college RB might not have, namely:

1) A good O-Line
2) A decent defense that gives him more opportunities to carry the ball
3) National coverage (blessing and a curse, though)
4) A good QB and WRs which force the defense to be honest.

Young's been a great QB this year, and I think he's made the difference in putting Texas over the top (otherwise, Mack Brown still would not have his first conference championship ever).

But Bush is insane. There isn't anyone in college football who can match him, period, and that's why he deserves it.

yeah an oline can create seams and holes and even block for him-it doesnt give him mindblowing speed or finese or the ability to break 3 or 4 tackles and leap over defenders. he is not an average player thats helped out by a phenomenal O line, he is a fucking freak of nature.
